Lamenters Death Company WIP

Dear Brothers and Cousins,

Lamenters painter here. I recently started experimenting with the Death Company, and this is my first attempt at the classic full-black scheme.

I'm not a particulary good painter (and I'm not particularly good at painting black on top of that)... I see such works of art here that it's kinda embarassing to post my work.

So I wanted to ask you for tips and suggestions on how to improve. I don't know, I tried my best to make the black pop with some (probably aggressive) highlights, but it feels kinda rough.

What do you think?

Death company classic scheme WIP

Brothers!

I was recently working on an alternative scheme for the Lamenters Death Company, since I don't particularly like painting black... but I couldn't resist and tried the classic full-black scheme.

What do you think? Any suggestion on how to improve is always welcome!

Death company alternative scheme WIP

Brothers!

I'm painting some Death Company Lamenters, and I wanted to try a different colour scheme. I like my Lamenters yellow, so I've just added some black here and there to mark them as death company. It's still a work in progress and still needs some details, but it's mostly done.

I'm not sure if it works, as the classic full-black Death Company is too iconic. What do you think? I'll probably get some other test models and try also the classic scheme for comparison

Tentativo di truffa?

Ciao a tutti

Chiedo un'opinione agli utenti piu' navigati della piattaforma anche per capire come muovermi in futuro nel caso succedesse di nuovo

Ho comprato un oggetto ma in pratica mi e' arrivata solo la scatola vuota, mentre sia il titolo che la descrizione nell'annuncio si riferivano chiaramente all'oggetto in questione.

Prima di aprire il pacco faccio foto e video dello spacchettamento, per sicurezza. Avendo notato l'assenza di qualsiasi cosa all'interno scrivo al venditore, che non risponde. Apro la contestazione caricando le foto, e dopo qualche ora vengo notificato che l'ordine e' "annullato" senza ulteriori informazioni su cosa sia successo. Il venditore non ha mai piu' risposto e penso non abbia nemmeno visualizzato i miei messaggi, ma non mi ha bloccato.

Mi sto chiedendo, "ordine annullato" significa che Vinted ha deciso in mio favore o che l'utente stesso ha annullato?

E poi mi chiedo, tentativo di truffa o errore onesto? Questo e' difficile da dire. Da una parte sembra un tentativo di truffa abbastanza ingenuo considerando la tipica propensione di Vinted a dare ragione all'acquirente... Ma dall'altra spedire una confezione chiaramente vuota mi sembra assurda come semplice svista.

Cosa ne pensate? Qualche esperienza simile?

Lamenters intercessor squad completed!

Brothers!

I've finally managed to complete a full squad of intercessors!

It took me sooo long to finish just these 10 models I'm not sure how I'm going to manage painting an entire army

But I'm satisfied of the result. It can certainly be improved, but for now that's good enough :)

Annuncio identico caricato piu' volte dallo stesso venditore

Salve a tutti, questa e' piu' che altro una curiosita', ma sono giorni che mi sto chiedendo cosa sta succedendo con uno specifico annuncio che continua ad apparire e scomparire.

In breve, compro un oggetto da un venditore (francese). Il venditore mi ringrazia e dice che spedira' il giorno dopo. La sera stessa pero' annulla l'ordine e mi blocca. Pazienza, non e' un problema, magari ho poche recensioni e non si fida. L'oggetto rimane aggiunto ai miei preferiti, e vedo il giorno dopo che risulta venduto. Qualche giorno dopo vedo pero' che lo stesso oggetto dallo stesso venditore appare di nuovo, stesse foto, stessa descrizione. L'oggetto in questione e' qualcosa di "unico", e nella descrizione sono correttamente riportati i difetti e le caratteristiche, quindi non puo' essere qualcosa venduto in serie. Penso che abbia fatto lo stesso gioco di annullare l'ordine e ricaricarlo. Per curiosita' lo aggiungo ai preferiti (anche se non posso comprarlo, dato che mi ha bloccato). In breve, nel giro di una settimana lo stesso oggetto viene venduto e ricaricato almeno 6-7 volte.

Da qui nasce la mia curiosita': e' un venditore particolarmente esigente che sta aspettando il compratore perfetto, o c'e' sotto qualcosa di piu' losco? Avete mai visto nulla del genere?

Shoulder pad trims: fancy gold or classic yellow?

I'm doing some tests with the shoulder pad trims to see which colour looks better. Initially I was leaning more towards the bronze-gold trims, but the full-yellow scheme is just a timeless classic.

I also tried different patterns for the checkers of the chapter badge.

What do you think? Which one looks better on these sad boys?

5 sad boys ready for the meatgrinder

Hello brothers!

I finally finished my first 5-man squad of our beloved sad boys!

I really need to work hard on the chapter badge consistency and precision... But so far I'm satisfied. I didn't know how to make the sargent to stand out a little bit more, so I improvised something on the right shoulder pad.

Let me know if you have tips on how to improve!

First Lamenters Intercessors!

Hello Brothers!

I just wanted to share my first finished Lamenters battle-brother. I'm not really a good painter, so any comment and tip on how to improve is greatly appreciated!

It was quite challenging, but also fun. The chapter symbol was the most difficult part, it took me countless attempts to come up with something at least passable. I found especially difficult drawing the circle. Overall, I think it took me ~10 hours to finish this one.

The squad is almost done (last photo), I just need to finish painting the rest of the chapter symbols on the other models...

I always wanted to paint a Lamenters army, but I was scared by the difficulty of the yellow colour scheme and the symbol... But after having (almost) finished a small squad I can't stop, I really like the sad boys in yellow
