Online privacy

So it has finally happened - family member of patients looking up my info online.

All my socials are private, minimal LinkedIn Info, but what can you do about those public databases that have massive info about you, your past addresses, family members, etc.

I’ve used Doc defender, but there are 2 websites of the same thing that list previous addresses (luckily not current), family members, telephone numbers, etc.

I reported the site to google but this is actually ridiculous

Is there a way to simultaneously control Govee bulbs and floor lamp?

Apologies for this noob question, but recently purchased a set of Govee bulbs and floor lamp? I cannot for the life of me find an answer to whether you can control both since they're different device types...

Standard of Care Discussion

In light of the Lindsay Clancy case, are there exact guidelines when it comes to standard of care from an ED, inpatient, OP perspective and what exactly will qualify as negligence?

Not referring to indications/use of medications, etc., but just briefly reading the details of the case - from an inpatient setting, why wouldn't I refer every patient to a HLOC after discharge from now on?

- As we all know, the columbia risk assessment is not great at predicting future suicide. So a low risk patient on discharge gets sent back to regular OP. If they kill themselves, now court is going to ask - did you recommend HLOC?

In OP setting, we deal with chronically suicidal patients - not every one can go to the ED for an evaluation. Is it enough to say that this is their usual baseline and be done with it? When it comes to suicide risk assessments, realistically how reasonable is it to see these patients when we're allocated 30 minutes each appointment.

Ultimately, I curious about the result of this case - seems we're held to an unrealistic standard of care where the decision is determined by a jury who has no medical knowledge. Seems like it becomes an emotional argument at that point

Hey everyone,

Was looking for advice regarding an upcoming trip to southern France.

I'm flying into CDG, landing on a Thursday and then planning to spend that Thursday half-day in Paris before taking a train the next day to Avignon for a wedding. Will be in Avignon Friday-Sunday.

Plan was to use Sunday to explore Avignon before moving on to Nice for my home base for Monday-Thursday. Plan to fly out Thursday.

For Monday-Wednesday, I'm having trouble figuring out how much time to dedicate in each town.

I feel like 1 day in Nice isn't enough (should I just head own early Sunday and try to cover enough of Avignon Friday-Sat?), but then was considering day trips to Antibes and Menton.

Will have to rely on strictly the train to travel.

So wanted to know, are Antibes and Menton okay for day-trips from Nice?

How much time would you ideally spend in Nice?

Thanks, any tips/recommendations would be great! Looking into checking out the Chagall museum in Nice; understand that this will be a very quick trip
