Recovery (@huchidori)

I wonder where Levi recovered and received treatment after the war and the Rumbling. I imagine whatever remained of the Marleyan military around Fort Salta had medics on hand, and given the severity of his injuries and the state of the world, he probably couldn't have traveled very far to receive treatment.

Pieck became a Titan not for glory or to prove herself or be a "Good Eldian", but so that her father, the only family she had left, could receive the medical care he desperately needed for his illness. She sacrificed her own future to save his.

This Sequence and What It Represented Was Incredibly Well Done In the AOT3 Trailer and I Have Feelings 😭(Long, Sorry)

I loved this sequence from the AOT3 PV2. The Wings of Freedom on Hange's cloak flap in the wind before the scene transitions to Levi. It feels incredibly symbolic.

The Wings of Freedom became far more than just the emblem of the Survey Corps. They came to symbolize grief, loss, hope, sacrifice, unwavering dedication, and promises left unfulfilled. Every person Levi ever cared about wore those wings: Erwin, Hange, Petra, Oluo, Gunther, Eld, Miche, Nanaba, Moblit, his men and countless unnamed Scouts who gave their lives believing humanity could have a future.

Another detail I've always appreciated is that, long after many of the others had stopped wearing the Wings of Freedom, Levi and Hange remained the last veteran Scouts to continue wearing them. It is a quiet tribute to Erwin and the ideals of the Survey Corps they refused to let die.

Levi himself wasn't wearing the emblem during the final battle, not because he had abandoned it, but because his uniform had been destroyed after his injuries. Hange too, wore those wings until her final moments, and after her death, Levi became the last surviving veteran of the old Scout Regiment. And even without the emblem on his back, he continued carrying everything it represented.

As we see the Wings of Freedom flap and transition to Levi on Falco's Titan, you can almost watch his emotions change frame by frame. At first there's quiet grief as the weight of every fallen comrade crashes back over him. Then comes doubt, the burden of wondering whether any of it was worth the cost, whether all the lives lost truly accomplished anything.

But that hesitation doesn't last.

It transforms into resolve.

His expression hardens because Levi remembers what they all fought for. His final words to Hange "Dedicate your heart" echo over the scene, not as a command, not even a pledge, but as the creed that has guided his entire life. In that moment, he's carrying the hopes of everyone who can no longer fight. He's the last veteran of the old Scout Regiment still standing, the final witness to their sacrifices.

Levi has always believed that the dead don't disappear as long as the living continue to carry their will. So when his eyes sharpen with determination, it isn't anger for anger's sake, it's his refusal to let their sacrifices become meaningless.

The Wings of Freedom aren't just a symbol of the Scouts. For Levi, they are the embodiment of everyone he has loved and lost, everything they believed in, and the responsibility he carries until the battle is finally over.
