I have curly/wavy thick hair that seems to suck up pomade and dry out I want it to go tight with a medium or high shine and essentially want to slick it back and hold it straight not come loose and curly after 4 hours also i want water based

Currently use layrite max hold pomade but falls out and looks greasy and falls out I can’t just wet the hair and redo it because water makes it Afro. Once the wind hits the hold is gone
