Passed by one of the Blue Marsh Lake entrances this morning and couldn’t believe the traffic line to get in. Is there some sort of event there on July 4 or is it just the place to be? I can’t imagine how busy it must be based on the number of cars I saw pulling in.

I was feeling inclined to hop on to give encouragement to anybody nervous about their IUD insertion. After trying to pump myself up for my insertion today, I went looking for positive experiences.
There are lots of details about how it’s a lot easier if you can get one of the in-office pain management options, and/or go during your period. The office I go to doesn’t offer pain management options, and I love my doctor, and my period has been wonky so there was no way to time it properly. Both of these had me nervous as that was most of the online content I was seeing about how to make it a positive experience.
I got the copper IUD inserted today and it truly could not have gone better. I took 800mg ibuprofen an hour before, but that was it for pain management. I know everyone’s experience is different, but I didn’t feel the uterine measurement at all, and the insertion itself was a low-grade but focused menstrual cramp feeling. I’d give it a 2/10 on the pain scale. Whole thing was done in about 90 seconds.
I reminded myself to take deep breaths when I felt the cramp happening, and it was over before I knew it. I have some very light cramping this evening that I’m treating with ibuprofen and a hot pad.
Just wanted to offer reassurance that even if you don’t time it exactly with your period, and even if you opt not to get an in office pain management option, it can still be a great experience.

Hello! I’m trying to cook up a plan for a surprise birthday party for a friend’s 40th. Looking for it to include men and women, and be somewhere that would have some fun energy on a Friday or Saturday night. A nightclub won’t be her vibe, thinking something like an activity center (The Works) ,casino, ax throwing, somewhere with food and drink, but also something to do. Casino came to mind, or topgolf too. Don’t want to ask people to drive too far though.
Anything that would fit the bill you’d recommend is appreciated!
About a week ago, my Roborock started making this strange clicking noise whenever it is filling or cleaning itself with water. It seems to still be running OK, and I gave it a full deep clean, but can’t seem to find whatever’s making this noise.
Yes it has googly eyes on it. They’ve been there for more than a year, so not new. It makes my kids laugh!
