I paid extra to choose my seat (18A). I got an email the day before my flight reminding me to check in. It still said my seat was 18A. I checked in online and clicked print boarding documents. Instead it printed a security document. Ok fine, I’ll get my boarding pass printed when I get there. Well I go to customer service to get the boarding pass and they say I am not assigned to a seat. All that’s left is 28F or 17B. I showed them I paid for my seat and that I should have 18A. They said there’s nothing they can do, someone else is already in that seat. Then I get a text saying I’ve been cleared from standby. So somehow I went from paying for Choice, selecting a specific seat, to being put on standby and getting one of the last two seats available. How did this happen? I’m very frustrated.
