as someone who was always interested in and intimidated by arts i never really attempted to create any. i used to be content to live believing it's good enough to consume it and pursue it. a while ago i purchased a canvas and paint and tried to paint for the first time ever. and as a 23yo i thought it was too late to do it. but i've never felt the way i did when i painted. it felt like an extension of my being, like it was pouring out of my soul. i think i was always meant to paint, even if I'm too much of an amateur.

if you've ever been intimidated by something, do it. do it unprepared. do it scared. you might be better than you thought. you might enjoy it more than you hoped.
