After having my own baby I stopped knitting because my hands were always full. My brother and his wife are expecting their first baby, so it felt like time to get back to into it. This cardi is full of errors, but it’s great to be back into knitting.
First picture is the beret I made - it’s clearly too small. Second picture is what it was supposed to look like. My gauge swatch was perfect.
The pattern says it’s for an 18 inch head circumference. My head circumference is 23 inches, so I guess I have a big head.

I started knitting this in April 2025, and I started a weight-loss journey at the same time. I lost 30 pounds in nine months, during which time I put this project down. When I picked it back up, I didn’t think about how much weight I’d lost and just picked up where I left off. Now I see that was an error.
What do I do with this tank now? 😭
