Hi! I am going to have surgery this week for my fistula; however, the doctor said it could be a fistulotomy or seton drain. I don't know anyone who has gone through this, and I want to know anything that could help with the recovery process and things to possibly use or buy.
Hello,
I'm preparing to take the MPT in the fall and am struggling to find resources that are accurate. Do any of you have any resources that would help?
Hi,
I am a female in my young twenties who has had epilepsy since I was a little kid; however, I am emotionally/mentally tired of this condition. I struggle to stay in school. I know I should be thankful and proud of myself since I'm in post-graduate school, and a lot of people can't pursue schooling due to the intensity of their condition. But I really struggle, I feel tired, depressed, anxious, and am a burden to people. I worry about having kids. I have never been able to be seizure-free ever, and I can't have a baby due to the medications and the amount of seizures I have. I just really feel that my life is always controlled or stopped by my condition. I apologize for ranting. I just feel so alone
Hello,
I took the MPT remotely last Friday (May 22) and am waiting to hear back, I heard from people that the results come out on Tuesdays.... it's Wednesday, should I be worried? Does that mean I failed? Ugh, I hate this anticipation!
Hello,
I'm a female in my mid twenties and have had an abscess last year which turned to be a fistula. I will be having surgery this month, and they will decide if they do a seton drain or fistulotomy...I don't know anyone who has done this before, and I am unsure of the recovery process. Can anyone let me know how the recovery process is? I'm very anxious as I hear they pack the gauze in the hole...how do I take care of it myself, have a bowel movement, etc., should I get a home nurse to help? since it's in an area I can't view.
