Anyone interested in doing an English-Chinese language exchange this weekend?

Hi! I'm Chinese and I live in Shanghai.

I'm looking for people who want to practice Chinese and English together. I also want to improve my spoken English.

My idea is very simple. One Chinese person and one foreigner. We can meet at a café and chat for about 1–2 hours. We can spend half the time speaking English and half the time speaking Chinese.

It's free. I just want to meet new people and practice speaking.

If enough people are interested, I'll organize a small meetup this weekend.

Let me know if you'd like to join!

Looking for foreign entrepreneurs in Shanghai

I’m working on a YouTube video about foreigners who have started businesses in Shanghai, and I’m looking for a few people who’d be willing to share their experience.
I’d love to hear about what brought you here, why you decided to start a business, and what the journey has been like.
If you’re interested in chatting, feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM.

Anyone from SJTU Minhang willing to help with a campus video?

Hi guys, I’m a YouTuber and I’m hoping to film a video around SJTU Minhang campus to show the campus and some apartments nearby. If I get the chance, I’d also like to film a dorm room.

If anyone can help, or knows whether there’s an empty dorm I could take a look at, I’d really appreciate it. If not, no worries. Thanks.

Why not use Wechat to exchange language?

I find lots of people use HelloTalk or Doulingo to learn language. But if you want to learn Chinese, maybe join a Wechat group is a better way. There are lots of Chinese who want to learn other language in Wechat.

Found a hidden local gem nearby. Tiny spot, authentic classic Chinese food

Authentic Chinese food.

edit 4h later:

Maybe “authentic” wasn’t the best word😅. What I meant is that this kind of tiny local spot feels very different from a restaurant in a big mall. The food feels freshly made, more homemade, and less like something pre-prepared or standardized.

I think this highlights a pretty clear cultural difference in how the word “authentic” is used. In Chinese, it can often suggest food that feels handmade, freshly cooked, and less pre-made. In English, it more often refers to whether the food is true to its original local style rather than a modified version. That said, it’s also possible that “authentic” just wasn’t the best word for what I wanted to describe.

Why would a site hosted in mainland China with CDN work in China but fail for some users in Malaysia?

I’m trying to diagnose a regional accessibility issue, not promote the site.

My website is hosted on Alibaba Cloud in mainland China and served through a CDN. I can access it normally from within China. At least one user in Malaysia reports that the site does not load, but I can still see overseas visit records in the backend.

I’m trying to narrow down the most likely cause. Would you first suspect DNS/CDN regional resolution, IPv6 issues, SSL/TLS compatibility, WAF/CDN blocking, or cross-border routing instability?

I’m not posting the domain to avoid self-promo concerns, but I can provide it in comments if needed. I’d also appreciate suggestions on the most useful tests to run first.
