Wine tasting classes?

Does anywhere in the area offer wine tasting classes? I'm not necessarily looking to get certified, just would like to learn a bit more about what I'm tasting.

Edit: Thanks for the tips of just trying local wines. To be clear, I already frequent several local wineries, try flights, etc. I'm looking to learn more deeply. Thanks!

Uptown Cheapskate weird vibe?

I want to start by saying I really love this store. They curate their clothes really well and I always find great things. I'm really happy that this store is in the valley. I want them to stay in business.

But I'm wondering if anybody else has noticed a weird vibe there. The staff all seem to be 18 and under and the last few times I've gone in it feels like they are gossiping about the customers behind the counter. Another time I was shopping the purses and I overheard two of them bad-mouthing another one of the employees there. They are really standoffish with customers, don't make eye contact, and seem like you're putting them out if you ask for a dressing room or to be rung up at the register. I shop and sell clothes here a lot so I'm not basing this on one or two interactions.

I have heard from two acquaintances- one a teenager and the other middle-aged who have both had similar experiences there. The teenager said that the staff was straight up rude to her when she followed up on her job application.

So I'm just wondering if this is isolated to me and my circle or if other people have noticed the same thing. I really hope that they can work on their customer service so that it feels like a good place to shop.

Like I said I really think that this store is a great asset for the valley and I want it to stay in business, but I also don't want to feel like I'm putting the employees out when I go in. I think they'll lose customers if things don't change. Both of my friends said that they won't shop there anymore because of their experiences. I'm not there yet but I can see what they mean.
