I’m considering a move to Ahmedabad for a Manager role with a compensation package of around ₹45 LPA and would appreciate some local perspectives. We are a family of four with two school-age children, and we’d likely be looking at good private or international schools. I’m trying to understand whether this level of compensation would support a comfortable lifestyle, including housing in a good area, schooling, healthcare, transportation, occasional travel, and general family expenses. I’m not looking for career advice or salary comparisons with other countries, just a realistic view of what life would look like for a family of four in Ahmedabad on this income. Any insights from residents or families in a similar situation would be greatly appreciated.
I’m facing a strange issue with my car insurance in Dubai and wanted to check if anyone has experienced this.
I previously had third-party insurance, then about 6 months ago I switched to a comprehensive policy with Insurance. The policy is active, valid, and shows my correct Dubai plate number.
However, when I check the RTA portal, it still shows my old third-party insurance as expired, and it has not updated to my new comprehensive policy.
When I click on renewal it’s says a violation but no fines in RTA app. So far everything looks fine except the RTA system is not reflecting the current insurer.
Has anyone had this before when switching insurers in Dubai?
Should I be worried about any penalties, or is this just a system sync issue?
