Is this writting transphobic
Hello there, I'm Zac. This is my second time here.
I previously asked about advice for writing my Trans Character Aaron Miles, thank you to u/Laura_Sandra for help with that.
I am here to ask for advice on an intended character growth moment for Aaron. During this point in the story, every character ends up having to do the whole training to get stronger, but the major point is that they all have to accept that they are unable to change the past.
This is where I’m iffy, a direct quote from Honovi(MC’s grandmother/the mentor figure) is “Listen, You can’t change that Juliet used to exist, as much as I can't change Sammy’s death. We can only keep moving, Stop being hung up on what Juliet discovered, it’s yours now. My eyes are shot but I don’t see a girl in front of me, I see Ultra-Violet.”
I’m iffy on Honovi using his Deadname but have been told that it's written well enough to send the point of them not being the same person.
(P.S: Juliet is Aaron’s deadname. His hero name is Ultra-Violet. He was holding back a major facet of his powers because he discovered it pre-transition)
All advice welcome and if you’d like any extra info on Aaron, please ask me.
