I know the healing process is different for everyone, but when did you feel like things were getting better? I’m on day 4 and feel so much worse than day 1… im trying to stay positive but right now I don’t see a good reason to

Got surgery today
I’m sure this kind of post has happened many times in here but I wanted to talk about my experience. When I first woke up from surgery I honestly felt great. Now that it’s been about 8 hours I feel horrible. I can’t roll to a different side because i’m scared i’m twisting my back. I’m so insanely uncomfortable it feels like there’s is a piece of large plywood in my back. I’m so hungry and so thirsty but they stopped letting me have water because it was making me more nauseous. I tried to stand up once to use the bathroom but I had to sit back down because I got so dizzy my lips were turning white. If this is how it is on day one i’m so nervous for how it’ll be on like day 3. I need some words of encouragement

Going into surgery soon
Getting my fusion in exactly one week, 23f. Getting fused from T4 to L2. Here are some pics of my bending x-rays that they had me do.
Any major advice to know before going into surgery? What you recommend buying for both in and out of the hospital? What was your healing like? What to expect to feel like immediately after.. 2 weeks later… 6 weeks later etc. My dr did tell me quite a bit but I want to hear people’s personal experiences!

What to expect?
Hi! I’m a 22yr old female about to get a spinal fusion in less than a month. I have thoracolumbar scoliosis and they are planning of fusing me from T4-L2. I’m wondering if anyone had a similar fusion and if they could tell me their post surgery experience. How long should I realistically expect to be out of work? Right now I have 6 weeks taken off, but my job is very flexible and I can work from home until I am better. How was the week in the hospital? And how was it when you first got home? When did you finally start to feel more like yourself?

Anyone here that has fake tanned/spray tanned after a spinal fusion. Wondering how long I should wait after getting it done. I would assume at least 2 months?
