What long tubes don't hang below the frame rails?

I currently have stock exhaust manifolds in my '76 C10. It gets the job done in my.060 over 350 with mild cam, some head work on the iron heads, aces Killshot fusion, CVF Racing serpentine kit.

The truck is on bags and lays frame. I had some summit long tubes on my 327 before I bagged it. The collectors hung down below the frame. That's why i swapped to manifolds.

In the near future I plan to swap a SBC crate engine. I am leaning towards a 383 or 406. Either way the manifolds won't cut it anymore.

Who has long tubes that don't hang below the frame rails? Who is the manufacturer? Or do they all hang low and I will have to settle on mid length headers? Ground clearance is highly important here. Although I don't really drag bumper anymore.

Client we denied called today to say he is closing tomorrow.

I was working with this VA client back in June. Refer eligible, 598 mid, 37/47 DTI, residual income exceeded 50% of requirement even after mandatory deduction. 100% VA disability income of 4400 per month. Grossed up as allowed.

The purchase price was 265k, seller paying all closing costs. He had some lates and charge offs on 3 credit cards more than 12 months ago. He paid them off 6 months ago. 24 rental history was good.

UW denied him on the 265k house, tried again TBD for 180k denied again. Reasons were excessive obligations, income insufficient for total obligations, and delinquent past credit obligations with others. UW said one issue was he was overdrawn on his checking by 100$ last month and his housing expense was going up by 200 per month and where would this be made up?

He called me today to tell me he is closing on that 265k house tomorrow. I congratulated him. Genuinely happy for him. This was the first time this agent referred me. Why would he ever refer me again when I could not get the deal closed and someone else could. He gave me the name of the other lender/LO.

Leadership said there are just some unscrupulous UW's, some lenders willing to take more risk, some junk lenders out there, etc.

Mostly venting/ranting. I'm retail self gen and like others I hate losing and I lost this one. Stings so bad. I'm new and this is the first time this has happened to me.

What do others do when this happens to make it sting less? Is this just how it goes that brokers will have access to lenders with more risk appetite? I know I have to just move on to the next. Just frustrated. Thanks for listening.

Leads from FreeRateUpdate

Has anybody had success buying leads from them? I am a newer LO and my local market is (FL) is a bit slow. I also have to compete with the big national builders.

I have had good success in the past with my construction business buying leads. Curious who buys leads and how has it been.

They tell me the leads can be specific to the county I want. That would be great as I would love to send some buyers back to agents that have sent me business.
