Rolled buttercream over frozen crumb coat?

Rolled buttercream over frozen crumb coat?

Making a toothless cake. We can't stand fondant, so someone recommended rolled buttercream. The crumb coat was a pita. It's in the freezer now. Can I put the rolled buttercream on top of the crumb coat? Or could I have just put it directly on?

Fondant substitute

Of course the kiddo wants a how to train your dragon Toothless birthday cake. https://www.reddit.com/r/cakedecorating/s/tmYDHckH0b

This shape is our favorite, but we both cannot stand the taste of fondant. Could I shape the cake, put a thin layer of buttercream, freeze, then pour ganache over it to get that smooth look? I would then let it firm and then add the details. I might go ahead and do the eyes with fondant....

I'm pretty amateur at cake decorating, but want to try!

Photos with people in them

This will be our first totality and I do want to just enjoy it, but we're bringing our 5 yr old so I would love to get a photo of her with the totality or even with partial.... Any way this is possible? I thought it might work well with the eclipse being so low. Tips for getting a photo with just our smartphones would be great!

Should I wait for more chlorophyll?

This is my first time propagating a variegated African Violet. Is it normal for so many white leaves? I've seen on monstera forums that they won't survive if all the leaves are white.... Or is the yellow tint enough for it to get by?

Little one

I got this little guy a few months ago and it seems to be doing well. It has made a few new pitchers and has been enjoying the darn fungus gnats, I'm sure. What is the next step, will it get bushier or just grow up? Or how do I make it bushier or are those big hanging planters I see multiple little plants?

Just noticed these guys swarming my chain of hearts ..... I've been battling with white fly, fuzzy scale dudes, and possibly thrips..... Please help!

Springtails? Are they ok to have?

Well, the African Violet in the pot is a little droopy, I might be over watering. But I saw these little buggies in the bottom. I'm planning to let it dry out a bit more.

I'll add a still photo in the comments as well

What to plant in this?

What should I plant here? I had a rubber tee in it and when it was transplanting time, it was super hard to get out of the pot due to this 1/2 inch lip. It's 9 inch diameter and 10in tall

Just wondering the best way to prune this indoor hibiscus tree. The trunk is maybe 4 inches diameter.

Thanks for any help!
