Pretty interesting article. I think the EQ's in question made some very salient points – Tilray's falling back on 'we're going back to our core of drinks like Hazy Jane and Punk IPA' is laughable.

I got into Brewdog back when it was interesting and fun – you could buy beers from *shock horror* other breweries on their web shop, colabs and experiments were rife and Punk IPA was still 6.4% ABV and hoppy as fuck. Hazy Jane 4 packs and whatever the heck Wingman is meant to be from Tesco is not the 'getting back to our roots' that I'm looking for.

Fan oven element has gone. It's a twenty quid part, but fixing it is beyond my 'do I want to fiddle with electricity' limit.

Has anyone used an appliance repair person locally who they would recommend?

We hit £93,000 in the last month, and I'm only just realising this might be a bad thing. The accountants are understandably asking for more money, which is fine. But I'm not great at tax issues, and as far as I can see, we're going to be worse off now we've crossed the threshold. Am I right in thinking we're just losing an instant £19k, essentially taking us down to £74k? Plus the accountant fees and administrative burden.

Or is there more to it I'm missing?

That amazing cobbler, who if anything was too good at his job (fixed my boots up so well I didn't anticipate needing to go back to him for a few years) has vanished. I don't go down that way too often, but today is the first time I noticed him gone. Last google review was three months back and he was never big on updating social media so I can't find any trace.

I guess I'm just hoping he relocated or something – he was so lovely and so good at his job (and busy!). Anyone know where he went?

After a service from a local boiler guy last year (I won't name them) our very new boiler started behaving very erratically. He came out again and 'fixed' it (didn't fix it) and then ghosted us.

Suffice to say, I need it fixed – does anyone have a personal recommendation for someone local who's actually fixed a boiler for them? Thanks in advance!

Probably a bit late to be asking now, but my son lost one of his juggling balls on Micklegate on Friday evening. He's really sad about it and while it's a very long shot, it never hurts to post and ask here just in case!
