What do you think of hill 937?

A lot of people hate this map and it has some flaws like a way to spawn camp the way to A and it being notoriously hard to defend but in a way it’s one of my favorite maps,

As attacking it’s fun making your way up the hill through the trenches and bunkers to pile on and capture the points

while defending is fun to defend the slopes bc that’s how your supposed to defend hill if everyone is piled in a bunker they will get overwhelmed so you gotta spread out along the hills to spread out coverage and it’s really fun finding a good way to flank attackers as the defenders and see if you can drain their tickets in time.

Kinger not even having a proper conversation with Jax is egregious

When I first watched it, it was largely what I expected and then Jax abstracted out of no where and at first I’m like that’s cool it plays into that horror with Jax running around like a wild animal and the threat that being touched by one and especially without Caine posed, it could of been done great but it wasn’t.

but for Jax to be talking directly to Kinger pissed off furious about their home being destroyed, I was watching it like oh damn he’s pissed this is what’s been building up for the whole show now and then Kinger just says the obvious that there brain scans and that’s it, for Kinger to gain his sanity and not talk to Jax is really selective because Kinger has no problem talking to people if something is bothering them it would of been great being the one other man of the group he would have nuance that the others characters just can’t give Jax so for Kinger to talk around him is disappointing.

And for the Jax plot the other characters should of been a bit more problematic, it’s been hinted since like ep 1 that they have their own problems so making the entire conflict about Jax is just forced it actually ruined the show for me because from ep 1 it’s been building up to this and what came out was a weird shizo post of an episode.

Can we pretend like the finale didn’t exist?

Shit was so bad I don’t even wanna think about it. It was so bad it actually ruined the show for me episode after episode key Info and moments been held back for this finale were we finnaly get the context and it’s a gigantic weird melodramatic schizo post, I can’t stand the whole oh you just didn’t get what you wanted yeah I wanted a good finale not a schizo post. Imma just have to rewrite it in my head it’s so bad (the abstractions get loose and Jax opens up to pomni and the others about what happens and how he feels and makes amends for what he has done) far better than this oh I pushed everyone away to die on my own bc I’m such a tragic hurt character who might have gender dysphoria. And Caine coming back be he is ok because he is a soy boy who reflects on his feelings despite being an ai. anything other than this melodramatic mess of a show.

So Does Jax have gender dysphoria

Like with him having the bow on, and him describing an embarrassing time that his mother humiliated him for and that he wasn’t man enough, like legitimately was that what she was going for with Jax the whole time? Because all the scenes I saw before I didn’t feel it and it would have been weird to assume based of skits or his room I thought it could be something else.

People here understand the show more than most people oddly

When I first started watching the show I really enjoyed it, I like the humor the game mechanics and especially the characters I liked how you could tell that something deeper is happening and I think the show is really solid

Then it got on my for you page and I’m like oh what do other people think and most of it is straight up garbage just a lot of weirdos with really bad takes and on Jax especially and I would rewatch the show thinking did I miss something I never felt like he did anything egregious.

But as I rewatched the show I picked up on things just by looking at their body language like in episode 5 when he pushed away pomni if you look at his expressions you could tell he was just angry in the moment and I from my only personal experience understand it because he’s on edge.

when I hear people say Jax is a bad character it pisses me off because it’s missing the entire point of the show, you gotta put yourself in the positions of these people they just lost their friends days ago and there devastated it’s hard to describe other than from personal experience so when I hear a generic Jax wants to be masculine and hide his feelings, I can’t help but just cringe. The point of the show is to find meaning in a stagnant life he straight up said there stuck so from personal experience it puts a lot of the moments in the show in context like the maid outfit I thought it was just a hahah funny I liked it but looking back imagine someone talked behind your back about not having friends and then put you in a maid outfit and started laughing at you it’s not that Zooble and gangle were being mean they just thought it would be funny and that’s what I like about the show there not bad people and they don’t act out of malice they just do it because there people who have quirks and their own independent lives that’s why I really love the show and I can’t help but feel let down when I see people crashing out at the person who made the show over what character she wants to focus on to deliver the message of the story.
