Since my period came back at 7mo PP, my cycles have been a little wonky but mostly within the same variation of time. Well, at the tail end of my fertile window, I stopped nursing cold turkey (we were only down to one nursing session a day so it wasn’t a huge deal), and within 5 days, my period arrived. My luteal phase is usually like 12-15 days, but this one was only 8 before I started spotting?? That’s never happened! Is this a result of the weaning? I know a lot goes on with hormones after weaning, so I am not concerned, I’m just perplexed. Any thoughts on a scientific/biological explanation? 😁

This fall, I am in one of my close friend’s weddings. My husband and my son are also both in the wedding, so for the wedding day alone we are spending a lot of money between the three of us on the attire, the bachelor and bachelorette trips, and my hair. With that being said I opted not to spend an extra $200 on getting my makeup done. Although I absolutely love how any wedding makeup has looked when I’ve gotten it done in the past, it always pains me when I have to wash $150+ off of my face at the end of the night.

So… I will be doing my own makeup. I’m NOT a big makeup person, so I’m looking for some advice on products & techniques I should get and start practicing with before the fall to get a basic clean/fresh but pretty makeup look. Ideally these would be relatively cheap makeup products if possible… Bonus points for if there are YouTube links or channels you would recommend I watch to learn from.
