My coworker hoards the change in the “take a penny, leave a penny” cup
Any time someone puts change in the “Take a penny, leave a penny” cup, my coworker takes it when she thinks no one is looking and puts it in a not so secret stash in her drawer under the cash register. I’m pretty sure she does this so she can feel like she’s in charge of the change and also to feel like a hero by dolling out HER change if anyone is a few cents short. I’ve heard her conversations with the customers, she tells them that she’s more than happy to to share HER change if someone is short money. The other sad thing about this is that my other coworker sometimes sneaks into the drawer and steals the change to buy candy or soda. People suck.
Forever looking for a wireless bra that is comfortable for my 36DDD boobs.
I wear out my bras really quickly, I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s because I work in an environment where I’m running around all day. Anywhoot, I break bras with wires in them in about a month. I guess my boobs are really heavy? They snap and poke through and scratch up my boob up so I don’t buy bras with wires in them anymore. Playtex is ok, they last about 6 months before falling apart. The eye clip on the back usually goes first, I repair it and then the cup starts separating and falling apart. Sports bras work great but they’re uncomfortable and not cute. Fancy bras get shredded within a month or so. Also all of my bras collect hair and make my boobs super itchy. DX
I just want a decent, simple bra that will last a year and won’t look terrible with a slightly low cut top.
Side note: one bra gets washed after 1-2 days of use. Like I said, my work keeps me on my toes and I feel like I dirty my bras more quickly than other jobs.
I can’t get any care unless the insurance company says I can
I was diagnosed with a uterine prolapse a few days ago. I went to the ER with abnormal uterine bleeding and my parts hanging out of my hoohaa.
Long story short, I’ve been home from the ER for a few days and I’m now sitting here waiting for treatment because the insurance company hasn’t deemed me unwell yet. I can’t see a gynecologist or get any kind of treatment until the insurance company says so. Meanwhile I’m very uncomfortable, anytime I do anything mildly strenuous I start bleeding again and to top it all off I have to return to work tomorrow where I’m on my feet all day.
When the frick did the insurance companies become our drs???
Has this issue come up with any dispatchers? Has it been resolved yet?
I live on the boarder line between two cities in the Los Angeles area. About 10 years ago my neighbor was literally beating the sh*t out of his wife while she was screaming and had a baby in her arms. I called 911, told then the situation and the dispatcher was got in an argument with another dispatcher about what cities police/ambulance/emergency services should be sent out because I was on the boarder line of two cities. I started screaming at them to send both because my neighbor was bleeding in the street with a child in her arms. After a few minutes of arguing they decided to send emergency services from both cities.
Side note: Mother and child are fine and still are my neighbors. I have no idea what happened to the husband.
Side note 2: I have one cities zip code and technically live under another cites name/zone. It’s confusing and my mail gets sent to other places all the time. I have no clue why this isn’t fixed, it’s freaking annoying and dumb.
Uterine prolapse and I’ve been bleeding for 19 days
I’m 45F. I thought I had started my period and maybe I did but it’s been 19 days and the bleeding won’t stop. I went to the ER the day before yesterday and they said that I had a uterine prolapse, possibly endometriosis and probably an infection. They prescribed me tranexamic acid and sent me on my merry way. I stopped my birth control Daysee and started taking tranexamic acid. I have a doctors appointment in one week with some random obgyn. The tranexamic acid isn’t doing anything but giving me a big headache. I don’t know what else to do. I’m really depressed and everyone wants me to cheer up and be happy but I can’t.
I guess I just don’t understand why the doctor didn’t prescribe me an antibiotic for the infection. Obviously there’s something wrong. I’m not bleeding for funsies. Even if the antibiotics did nothing at least I’d know that it’s not an infection. I’m not allergic to anything, I think the last time I took antibiotics was maybe 5-10 years ago so I doubt I’m going to build up a tolerance or anything crazy with one round of antibiotics. Why would they let me suffer like this?
Other medical facts: I smoke 2 packs a year usually at parties and such. I’m definitely not smoking now. I drink a 1/2 pint to 2 pint on the weekends but I’m definitely not drinking right now.
My own dark thoughts: I don’t want the next few days/months/years being nothing but bleeding and having my insides poking out. I’m sick of people saying I need to cheer up or it could be worse. Please tell me there’s a light at the end of the tunnel because I can’t see it.
Uterine prolapse
I went to the ER last night and found out I have a Uterine prolapse and endometriosis. They prescribed me some medication but there’s no guarantee that’ll stop the bleeding. I’m supposed to find a doctor to fix it all because the ER only gives a temporary fix and shoves you on your way. I don’t even know where to start. I’m scared. There’s been only a handful of times in my life that I’ve been this scared. I’m also really depressed. All I want to do is crawl into bed and sleep for a week but I have to get up, go to work and paint a fake smile on my face.
