Question about returns

If I make a return in store, will Nordstrom give me a gift card? I have a closed account with a balance and would like to get the money to use in store, instead of it going towards my balance.

Reminder to myself and others, shots before bed can be no bueno!

Ugh. I’ve been on and off GLP-1s for three years “off” mostly courtesy of insurance denying me - so here I am again, round 28,000.
Last night I took my 8th shot of 5 mg right before bed and made what was apparently a rookie mistake despite being very much not a rookie.
I woke up out of a dream feeling so sick to my stomach, like I had a nasty rock just sitting in there. And apparently my brain decided to explain the sensation by creating a dream where someone was forcing me to eat her boyfriend’s food, which happened to be one enormous fish nugget.
Think chicken nugget, but fish. And about five times the size.
I don’t even like fish.
So now I’m fairly convinced my sleeping brain was like, “Why does her stomach feel disgusting? QUICK. INVENT A GIANT FISH NUGGET.”
Then the dream fast-forwarded to a friend coming over who I recently had a really unfortunate interaction with IRL… and now I’m wondering if my brain dragged her into it because my stomach also hurt after that whole situation.
Apparently my subconscious has started filing emotional distress and GI distress in the same folder.
Not a rookie, yet somehow: rookie mistake.
Never taking the shot right before bed again.
And to top it off, I woke up mid-dream, so the giant fish nugget and all its emotional baggage have been living rent-free in my head all day.

Charging Error - No Power. FU Elon and your misleading suggestions.

I’m aggravated.

Last week I received a message while charging at home, “Charge rate reduced - Wall plug temperature high. Wall outlet and wiring inspection recommended.”

I called an electrician who works on EV outlets. $300 minimum to open the outlet and the breaker to tell me everything is fine. There’s power. Wires aren’t damaged. Outlet is good.

I plug the car in to charge and receive this message -

Charging Error - No Power

Well FU Elon. Misleading me by stating “have the outlet and wiring inspection,” and not suggesting I replace the charger is BS.

I’m not installing the Tesla wall charger because I may not get another Tesla.

Any suggestions on what new charging cord to purchase? My outlet is 14-30.

Question about returns made after account is closed

Hi. I was a Nordstrom shopper for more than a decade and after a mild shopping addiction, I decided to close my Nordstrom Visa. I have always made returns by mail, without fail. I have a couple of items I’d like to return. They are unused and have tags and my Nordstrom shopping history online shows the items as purchased and that’s the option I’m going to use to begin the return. I’m not concerned that they’ll think there’s fraud or that they will deny my return. My question is, how do they refund me if my account is closed?

Underwear, bras and socks, oh my!

I’m curious - were you taught where to put these when you were growing up? If so or if not, do you switch drawers trying to find the ideal placement? do you ever wonder, how many should I have of each? If a book was written with rules for where to put these and how many items to have/keep would that help you?

Charger overheating

I own a home with a hardwired 240V EV outlet that was installed before I bought the house and wasn’t originally permitted. When I had solar and a battery installed, the city inspected it and issued a permit.

I’ve owned the home for almost 10 years and usually charge overnight to 80% without any issues. A couple of days ago, I charged in the middle of the day and received a notification similar to the one I’m posting (I can’t find the original, so this is a copy).

I haven’t changed any charging settings. I’ll call an electrician, but how do I know they’re checking the right things? After reading posts here, it sounds like there’s a lot of poor-quality EV outlet work. As a homeowner with very little electrical knowledge, what specifically should I ask them to inspect or verify?
