follow up from my post a few days ago about my dark angels scheme.
i posted about my dark angels a few days ago. from the advice and suggestions i decided to switch to a 30k scheme and add some knightly/templary decorations. this was also a first go at some freehand checkers and it turned out pretty well! thanks for the suggestions everyone and lmk what yall think of this (still wip)

what do we think of my DA?
alot of people have said it doesnt really look DA and i think its bc of the green, blood and skulls. i like the skulls bc its supposed to be fallen skulls and fallen blood. but does it really not look like DA?
i was mostly trying to go for an alot more grimdarker aesthetic with rust, oil washes and paints, blood, dust grime and desaturated/darker colors

Sweet jesus....
i tried out vince venturella's gold recipe and holy FUCK is it good... ive asked on this subreddit for a gold recipe but out of all ive tried nothing has come close to this. it just looks like retributor armour, but better. i 100% recommend this to anyone who is searching for a new gold for custodes.
Recipe:
- 4-5 Drops of Vallejo Metal Color Gold
- 2-3 Drops of Vallejo Metal Color Copper
- Mix and keep adding Gold or Copper to balance the warmth of the gold, and bam.
This would also look SO MUCH MORE amazing, with a brown shade such as Reikland Fleshshade, Seraphim Sepia or Agrax Earthsade. In my case i use Vallejo's GC Sepia Wash, which is basically just Seraphim Sepia.
