Materials and ideas for Russia

So now that I’ve hammered out how apocalyptic the setting is, my next question is designing a fun but grounded scenario for Russia and the former USSR. I tried looking for any maps, but I couldn’t find any with a T2K style grid and terrain for Russia itself, only Belarus and the Baltic States. Does anyone have any maps or interesting homebrew scenarios for the former USSR in their games?

I’m currently considering having a few somewhat major blocs within Russia itself that have consolidated their power around the few remaining centers of power (mostly east of the Urals) whilst the west is in a much more hectic and chaotic state. However, I’m not set on any ideas too much since I don’t know much about the late Soviet Union and early Russian federation. This is the most modern setting I’ve run, so I’m open to any ideas or preexisting materials at this point

How apocalyptic is Twilight?

I am considering running the system soon, as it’s very strongly caught my interest. However, before I can pitch it to my group I want to make sure that it’s appropriately pitched. To my understanding it’s the start of the apocalypse and society has actively broken down, but I’m not sure how much of the Soviet and American governments still remain. From what I read it sounds like America isn’t yet lost and could possibly come back in a few decades, but I’m not sure if I understood that correctly. Meanwhile there’s nothing on what’s left of the Soviet government that I’ve seen, so any info on the overall state of the world/permanance of the apocalypse would be appreciated!

How impactful are the new regions from Giant Kings?

I am considering getting Giant Kings for the new worldgen stuff, but wanted to ask if people think it is worth it for that. Any thoughts?
