These are pretty good

159 cal, 12g fibre, 12g protein, 1.8g sugar

Definitely have that protein bar taste but without it being too strong and dense like some bars. It feels like a bar with a bit of added protein rather than a full on protein bar. But they're good for a quick snack :)

What are Kings most divisive books?

From what I see on here the two that come to mind are The Talisman and Wizard & Glass. People seem to absolutely love them or hate them. I haven't read The Talisman yet, I'm reading W&G atm and it's set to be my first 1 star King book. Yet I know for many it's not only their favourite Dark Tower book but one of their favourite King books overall. And I also see a lot of people like me struggle to get through it.

What other books seem to have this marmite love it or hate it amongst the community?

EDIT: This isn't a What's your unpopular opinion question, what do you think is over or underated. It's what books seem to either be a 50/50 on if it will be in someone's top 5 or bottom 5.

For example I personally think It is overrated and waay too long. But It isn't divisive as it's on 90% of people top 5 books

Will seres 22 be the least diverse contestants by age?

Chloe Petts - 32

Isy Suttie - 48

Richard Ayoade - 49

Nina Conti - 52

Matt Lucas - 52

4 of the 5 contestants are a very similar age. Just 4 years between them. I feel like we usually get a broader range of ages. But maybe there's a other series which was like this too.

Not buying anymore books didn't last long...

But I saw this for just £6 at Tesco (£9.50 for two books on clubcard, so only £4.75 for anyone else in UK who wanna buy it, sadly they didn't stock Black House too), consider RRP on the back says £14.99 ... Rude not to! I also really like this cover.

My goal is to finish The Dark Tower series (including Insomnia, I've just started W&G) and read The Talisman and Black House ready for when Other Worlds Than These releases in paperback in UK. Didn't know this was such a big book though... Just shy of 1000 pages!

What do you use lentils and beans in?

I want to eat more of these, cheap, healthy, tasty.

But outside of lentil curries, and mexican style bean things, how do you incorporate these into your diet more?

I need to stop buying and start reading...

I bought 12 books in the last week... My Stephen King shelf is gonna start bleeding into other shelves... Time to stop buying and start reading. A constant reader in the making!

Some goodies arrived 👀

The books, not the cat... £10 (plus £3.50 postage) in pretty good condition. Not bad! Went all in getting the whole trilogy so hopefully I'll like it lol

Which King books have you reread (or listened to) the most?

I haven't actually read that many SK books (about 13, 2 of those being novellas published separately) and haven't done any re-reads yet, but there's already a few I want to re-read for various reason at some point. But I of course want to keep experiencing new SK too. So what have you re-read the most? How many times? What keeps you going back?

Ones I intend to re-read are:

Pet Sematary - is my fav book of all time so I definitely want to re-read

Misery - also up there in my top 5 books so deffo want to re-read that too.

Carrie - it was the first SK book I read and I remember loving it, but can't actually remember the details much. And it's a nice short re-read

The Shining - mostly because I actually didn't like it as much as I thought I would, and as others seem to, so sorry of want to re-read it to see if I prefer it on a second read (not that I disliked it by any means)

The Mist - similar to Carrie, I remember enjoying it but not the details, and it's nice and short which I like so can read it over a weekend

The Stand - I just really enjoyed it. But it's so long and so many characters that there's probably so much stuff I just skimmed over and would like at some point to go back through it. Probably not for a few years just cos it's such a big read!

Danny Dyer for Taskmaster

Just this. I would love him on Taskmaster. Maybe more likely a NYT, but I think he'd fit in great for a full series. We have a few contestants who aren't necessarily comedians or comedy writers but fit in well (Osman, Levine, Ritchie, Parkinson etc.) so wouldn't seem out of place.

I just think he's so naturally funny and always a good sport at getting the piss taken out of him too. He always cracks me up and the other panelists on shows like 8 Out of 10 Cats (regular and countdown) and his Off Menu episode is hilarious. I implore you to listen to it if you haven't.

Trying This Isn't Fillet Steak again...

And it certainly isn't.

It's nice enough. In it's likeness to a fillet steak, 2/10. As it's own thing 6/10 but too expensive. Only trying again as it's on clubcard for £5.50

Will get occasionally but more for variety than for a treat.
