Did your pessary help reduce your prolapse?

I got mine a couple of days ago and I love it already. I feel much more like my old self when I'm wearing it (although still doing the same things as before).

My question is, has anyone here used a pessary postpartum and found that over time their prolapse reduced? E.g. stage 2 to stage 1?

I would love to hear some experiences to give me hope! Thanks

Does weaning ease prolapse symptoms?

So there's very little research into this (because it's a women's issue, no doubt!) but there is a known link between breastfeeding and laxity of vaginal tissues/muscles, therefore making it harder for a pelvic floor prolapse to heal. I have a stage 2 prolapse, feeling awful and wondering if I should cut down on breastfeeding my 14 month old.

I feel sad at the prospect of cutting feeds but she has around 5 a day which is high for her age so there's definitely scope to cut it back to just morning and evening I think.

My question is, has anyone here ever experienced prolapse and has breastfeeding less or stopping helped reduce your prolapse symptoms?

I realize the changes would take a while as your body takes a long time to readjust but I think I need to do something beyond just pelvic floor therapy to help my body repair.

I've only recently discovered this issue but also postpartum so not been hugely sexually active anyway. Now I know, I feel quite self conscious and also worried about the prolapse causing pain in sex and possibly not having the same G spot sensations.

Does anyone else feel like sharing? What's your experience been like?

Before getting pregnant, I used to LOVE running, doing weights, gym etc. A year ago, I gave birth and have recently discovered from a couple of shorts runs that I have a prolapse (uterus and bladder) which, after some pelvic floor physiotherapy, I tried safely doing some low level weights and it had worsened. I'm feeling distraught and going to try a pessary to see if it receives my symptoms/pain at all.

My question is, has anyone else got or had a pelvic floor prolapse and still managed to get back into running? Is it at the risk of worsening it or is there a way to do it safely ever?

I just feel gutted that potentially I'll never run again...
