so I got rly close to watching this thing, bought it online through dmm but I didn't watch it and now I'm locked out cause sales ended this morning. Anyways I've still got the dcv file so if anyone knows what to do plz help

As for Stratagene, I bought it but now it says it'S shipping which is weird because I thought it was something online I'd plug my data into. Anyone know what's up with that?

little preface I've been thinking about reze nonstop for a year now and have gone as far as writing fanfic and joining chainsaw man fanfic communities to learn more about her from other writers as they understand her character the best imo. I still don't understand her and have pondered this exact question myself.

As for the question - why didn't reze just run away by herself at the festival - I'll give a couple of reasons that I think aren't true/can be considered misconceptions, then I'll give my take on it, admittedetely slightly unorthordox sense I'm not as glazy as a lot of the people here.

so false reasons: she needed denji for his battle prowess to boost her chances. false, honestly you could even make the case he'd drag her down what with adding the target of public safety and Makima (albeit unbenounced to her) on their backs.

false reason number 2: the aforementioned, rather glazy (imo any take that sanitizes reze's motivations as purely romantic is glazy) take of "her first time experiencing rejection". don't get me wrong it might have played a factor and you might even be able to convince me reze is emotionally immature but in every other regard she is extremely mature. the entire arc clearly sets her up as being a step ahead of denji in her development/awareness of her situation/etc. Just rewatch the beach scene when her theme plays if you want to see what I mean. I've heard the counterargument that "maturity" displayed in that moment of delicate betrayal was really just due to violence and seduction being so normalized for her but it's hard to account everything to that imo.

okay my take on it, why didn't reze just run away by herself at the festival after denji rejected her? she clearly could have so what... did she not like denji enough or something? it becomes way clearly if you stop looking at it as a narrative reason and start looking at it as a character reason. what do I mean by this? reze doesn't just want to live a normal life, she also wants to be a normal girl. she's a depersonalized weapon seeking personhood, that's her entire character. and without denji, she can't be that "reze" she discovered through him, there'd almost be no point in running, her act would always feel like an act and she'd just go back to being the soldier when she was alone again.

to explain this a little better. have you ever made a friend who brings out a version of you that you really like? this is what denji does for reze and what makes him so special. he is the innocent version of her she thought she lost. someone she wants to save and through saving him save herself. when she's with him her act can become something she wants to do to the point it feels almost natural, gives her the hope it can become something real, and denji takes that away, that's why she betrayed him and the real reason why "she didn't have a choice".

but anyways that's just my two cents on it, hope I answered your question u/Anxious-Elk-6251

It was a reze backstory one, had a bunch of interesting devils too, like happiness, rat, and ice. There was also a character who took in reze and betrayed her, oh and reze turned like a hundred kids into rats or something. Anyways it was really good and I really wanna save it.
