Reasonable ways to make paper lanterns that fit with the actual models?

I've been thinking of trying to make a force that's highly mobile by way of having lots of cargo airships and sky lanterns, but a big part of that includes the lanterns themselves. I know I could probably just try making actual paper lanterns but I wanted some other methods or models to source for this, especially ones that fit well with the official ones. Also thinking of making a large hybrid air/water ship as well for a really cool centerpiece/terrain. Any of y'all's ideas would be more than appreciated.

What's happening with the chems in Escher?

I know several people have probably already answered but I can't make sense of stuff. I was recently hoping to get the Escher box cause I like the little critters and speedy stuff. Even more so is that I Really liked the idea of the mechanics with making chems and using them with all the toxin weapons. It's one of the big reasons I thought to go with Escher in the first place over the Votan, Grinders, and Nomads. Is there really still any mechanics for it in the new edition?

Thinking of doing an oops all skulls/headless monks demon army

I was thinking to try and start this out with making all the packs of skulls I could use for a Squads format game (750 points with a 180 cap on individual units and up to one armor 14 vehicle). The list is just on herald, four max squads of swarms, and a support detachment for two more max squads minus one model. I was wondering if this list could be annoying to opponents in a bad way or possibly cause problems in some way?

Just some dumb homebrew ideas for some units.

So i was thinking a bit on wanting to do stuff with psykers in auxilia, but i dont want to use the militia psykers that much cause it locks me out of tech priests and kinda makes me feel like I would have to use some other militia units to make the most of them. I also started thinking about some of my older ideas for small tanks that use spare guns from the bigger ones! pussing those two ideas together I thought of the idea of a "Rouges Tertio" being like an axilia version of the marines moritats! the stuff i cam up with kinda overlaps a bit of the assasinorum and militia, but i think the idea is still really cool and i want to mess with it more and maybe even make it eventually.

The individual unit ideas I have so far are;

  • Rouges command section: gives the ability to take rouge tertios, and maybe something to be able to harm units in it for boosts? still the same models as usual comand sections, possibly with some companions weapons options, and includes of some models from the rouges units.

  • Rouges psyker section: A retinue that has just one psyker by default but can add more psykers as well as supporting auxilia troopers. psykers would also be even more vulnerable than militia rouge psykers by default, but have buyable wargear to make them either better or more reliable, or both. Could also have a shields option for the support troopers.

  • Rouges destroyer section: A retinue section focused on the stronger melee and ranged weapons and having elite fighters. probably could also have something involving having a cyclops or boosting them, as well as maybe some includable Ogryn.

  • Rouges remover section: A retinue that has options for snipers and blanks, as well as something to do with poisions? could also include some small animal companions or some servo skulls with additional capabilities, possibly including deepstrike, democharges/weird bombs, and some other disruption/control abilities.

  • Drake and hydra tanks: Both units would either be heavy assault or elites, and would be very small vehicle, somewhere between the size of a rapier and russ. These Chasis would specificaly be stated to look completley different between regiments where they exist, and als have a blurb stating how some even just slaved creatures with mounted guns. The hydra would be equipped six hull weapons and possibly some different configurations, meanwhile the drake would be a single leman russ weapon with a signifigant firing limit. both would have compact and be either bulky six or eight.

  • Hyrax transport: Either a support or maybe even just standard transport. Basically the same as the Hydra and Drake but instead has a transport ability of six and doent have the light transport rule. would have one pintle weapon but could be upgraded to have more or a slightly larger transport capacity.

The rouges tertio probably wouldn't have any ability like the other tertios, if it has to have one it would probably be something like a logistical benefit with a boost, or a boost to do with gaining or loosing statuses, also could be a negative. the selections for the tertio would be three retinue, as well as either four heavy supports if thats where the tanks go or two elites specific to those tanks, and then three supports if the Hyrax is a support and includes the cyclops.

I'm More than open to any critisims or additonal ideas yall might have on these ideas, particularly different things to keep it both balanced and usable for regular and smaller games.

How many Marines tend to fit in a five inch blast marker/how do I deal with marines

I tagged this with list help despite not having much of any specifics tied down at all. I'm looking into playing Solar Auxilia with Mechanicum support, and I'm trying to figure out what's best to tailor to Marines since I assume that's 90% of what I would be going against. So far the things that I've looked at is going Mymidrax with my Mechanicum force and plasma equiped Leman russ since they have 5 inch blast that should be able to deal with marines? I'm glad to hear whatever other stuff can easily deal with them

Best lastifle section loadout?

So I've been thinking for a good bit to start the army by getting some lasrifle sections and fully loading them out with blast chargers, bayonets, and all the equipment. A recent thought however was me starting to wonder if all that stuff is just a bit too overcosted, and also whether or not I should actually select a sword and pistol for the sergeants or another rifle?

Another part to this is that I also want to start with playing squads which is a 750 point format, and I assume that it would probably be more tactical to go for more bodies instead of boosted.

Alternative Necromunda settings?

So getting more into Necromunda I still like it a whole bunch, but I keep getting ideas I'd love to use on a sort of water world setting. Is there any pre built things to be able to do Necromunda on different worlds, or possibly some fan made rules? I'd be almost tempted to try and make some rules myself for a water world campaign if there isn't any stuff, but I still wanted to check anyways.

Cool pic added for attention and also one of the things that got me inspired, along side the idea of using Nerogaunts and von Ryan's leapers, or even some solar auxilia models.

Corpse Grinder additions?

I so far haven't even gotten so much as a box or a full read of the rules and I've already got a particular gang that I want to do. The basic idea is a Corps grinder gang with a leader that's a chef, so I'm thinking to try and get some of the rules for gangers having good food by adding some of the chef guys to it. That and probably doing the hideout as the bosses small batch corps starch refinery (he actually likes corpse starch) along with even a sort of corpse cart/food truck vehicle. Maybe even adding some servo skulls since I just like them a bunch.

The big question is if I can really even do any of that stuff with corpse grinder cults in any fashion? I know their situation is a little finicky between legal and illegal, as well as them possibly having stricter rules?

Anyone try making some weird war machines?

Per the title, one of the things I've been thinking about with looking at the Auxilia is the idea of some custom vehicles. I'd be using them to make use of spare magnetized guns and possibly some proxies, but so far I haven't seen to many vehicle builds, let alone other kitbashes.

I'm thinking if I ever do so the run with some variety of three wheeler and arming it with plenty of pintle weapons. There's also good room for making other tanks if you have a variety of spare tank guns from all the different kits.

Heck, you could definitely use something like these as a decent name blade proxy if you have all the right guns!
