Cloth Diaper wash routine in apartment with coin op laundry

Hello, I am expecting my first and planning to nearly exclusively use cloth diapers. For me the ecological impact is great, but a big reason is economic so Im trying to be economically efficient while still being safe.

Diapers I will be using: Flats or pre-folds with PLU and wool covers. I have purchased a nice stash second-hand.

Wash routine/limitations:

- I have a bidet sprayer to pre-spray diapers/covers. Plan to store sprayed diapers in a hanging airy bag in bathroom. Plan to wash every 2 days.

- Here is the problem, I have very little control over my top loading coin-op washing machine settings, I can basically control the temp. I have no option to pre-soak or do an extra rinse on the machine. It costs $2 per wash so I would prefer not to do a full extra wash to get a second rinse in.

-I plan to hang dry diapers, to avoid spending $2 extra to machine dry. I already do this with my own clothes and have a good set up.

Any reccomendations about the wash cycle? I am concerned because I see pre-soak and second rinse frequently reccomended.

Aquaus 360 Hand Held Bidet For Faucet

Id really like to purchase the faucet attached bidet that Rinseworks lists on their site, however it appears to be out of stock everywhere? Does anyone have a lead on where to buy on of these kits? Are they still being manufactured even?

If you have one Ill buy it off you and pay shipping, FYI

Vent

My mom bought me a cheap amazon off brand buckle baby carrier that I do not want at all (I am planning to use wraps/ring slings, Ive researched this extensively and practiced 🫠) instead of the boba wrap I had on my registry (which was cheaper!!!). Then she gave me shade about how this carrier will be so much better and I can use it until theyre a toddler etc etc and that theres no way my husband would want to use a wrap. Which is NOT true at all my husband is very into the wrap and particularly the ring sling and he's been researchi g safe baby wearing just as much as me

Ahhhhhhhhh okay vent over im just annoyed she got me a bunch of stuff not on my registry that I dont want but this one took the cake. (then she gave me shade for the $600 stroller + car seat travel system I like, because she thought it was too expensive I was just like okay. well. I did the research and it's my baby so Id like modern safety features and I dont expect anyone to buy it for me! ahhh

New to this diagnosis, Pi*IZ?

I have a full liver work up due to finding mildly elevated liver enzymes during routine blood test during pregnancy.

I got this result:

"The patient appears to be a compound heterozygote, having a phenotype of Pi IZ. The I allele protein product is a rare alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency variant. The Z allele protein product is a deficiency variant (approximately 15 percent of normal serum concentrations). Individuals with this phenotype may be at risk for developing alpha-1-protease inhibitor deficiency-related hepatic or pulmonary disease"

I dont have a follow up appointment for months so Im a little lost on the implications of this finding, my doctor wrote "You have 1 abnormal copy (Z) and one more rare abnormal copy (I). This combination can lead to liver and lung disease in some people."

Trying to research this condition, does anyone else on this forum have this phenotype combination of IZ?

Elevated liver enzymes?

Hi all,

I had a blood test at 16 weeks, basic metabolic panel. It came back with elevated liver enzymes, the NP asked I run them again in 2 weeks so I did. Same result, basically the exact same numbers.

Theyre taking their time getting back to me on what this could mean, but googling it freaked me out lol. Anyone have experiance with this? what was the outcome?
