Opinion on first bike

So I just recently passed my MSR and got my license. I'm looking to get my first bike soon and have been researching bikes i want to get. I'm fairly new and dont have much practice outside of the MSR course besides practicing on my uncle's yamaha fz6r. I want to get a cruiser and am stuck between the rebel 500 and vulcan s. I was leaning more toward the vulcan s due to it having a tachometer and price difference not being to significant off of the rebel but im a bit worried that it might have too much horsepower then i can handle at the moment. When practicing on my uncles bike I could definitely feel the difference in power compared to the bike i was using at the MSR. I want to just get the opinion on this because I do know crusier's are a bit different then sport bike which is what my uncle's bike is.

Yamaha Fz6r 2015

So I'm new to riding and I was given my uncle's old bike. He fell on it and hasn't ridden since. Its been sititng for about 4 years,I got alot of it working again i can changed the battery, brake flush, oil change, etc. But now im having the issue that when I have the bike started and put the bike into gear it immediately stalls out. I think its the kickstand sensor but im not to sure.

I want to bring it to a shop but since cant ride it. I would need to do a pick up but I dont feel like paying the extra cost for it. Is there any suggestions on bypassing the sensor or could it be a different reason it keeps stalling

So im working on trying to get my uncle old bike. My aunt said I could have it i fix so I charged up the battery and everything turned on. I checked the headlights and backlights to see if they were working. Everything was running smooth so I tried turning the motor on next thing I here a click noise come from the battery and everything shut of and won't turn on again. I tried recharging the battery and thats not working either now. The bike has been sitting a few years maybe around 3 or 4. My uncle was in accident and ever since hasn't ridden it.
