In fact more than 70% of patients in the OASIS-4 trial only lost an average of 11.5% of their body weight... most people who take Wegovy Pill will not see the advertised average weight loss because the average was pulled up by these super responders...

and funny enough, the listed weight loss of the non-super responders is inline with what we see in the Foundayo trial, which was much larger and had a much more diverse patient population.

so the narrative that Wegovy is magically more effective while agonizing the same receptors has just been inadvertently killed by Novo's own data...

Let's see what kind of coverage they will have...

since Lilly has applied for T2D indication on the CNPV, i think approval is in the bag and perhaps these PBM deals were signed with that in mind

base case: it replaces Rybelsus/Ozempic pill on the formulary simply due to cost

best case: it gets coverage like Januvia/Tradjenta and Farxiga/Jardiance because it lowers A1c much more, better MACE benefits, and costs about the same...

the DPP-4's and SGLT2's are all going generic soon so it makes sense to "give that spot" to Foundayo based on the profoundly better health outcomes for essentially the same price.
