Is Lilly Direct / GiftHealth the only option for Foundayo?

UPS delivered my package to the wrong house and GiftHealth is totally incapable of solving this problem. Their phone support has been abysmal and after several calls I am nowhere near getting my prescription after a week. I just want to get up and running, but I am failing to launch, so hoping there are alternate options. Has anyone had success with Walgreens or Walmart? Any issues getting the same Lilly Direct price with cash / uninsured discount?

The dark side of Foundayo

Hi everyone! I wanted to give my honest feedback and experience of being on Foundayo. I’m no stranger to peptides. I’ve been on sema, tirzep, and Reta in the past. I wanted to do a pill form to see if it was as effective or easier or take. I want to start off saying I started at .8 and moved up to 2.5 after a month. .8 I was fine, mild nausea here and there. I moved up to 2.5 and a week in, my whole world changed. I was literally nodding off during the day. I could not stay awake. Turned into me waking up in the middle of the night for hours and not being able to go back to bed. I finally caught up on sleep and then all of the sudden, my mood was erratic. I’m talking depression, anger, irrational and irritable. I was quite literally experiencing mania. I have never had mania before in my life. I went through one round of that and kept telling myself it was just temporary and probably related to my sleep. Wrong. A week later it happened again. I ended up quitting the medication and within 48 hours ALL of my symptoms subsided. I had never experienced anything like this before in my life. Ever. Be careful.

What do you wish you had known when you started Foundayo?

I started taking Foundayo at the lowest dose three weeks ago and have not noticed too many changes or side effects. I have lost about one pound. My sister got me all freaked out insisting there was a bunch of stuff she read about on reddit regarding GLP1s so I came here and read through a bunch of threads but I'm not seeing anything particularly concerning. Are there things you wish you had known earlier on that would have improved your experience?

Foundayo first week

Hi there! I just started Foundayo last week. I’m on the lowest dose of .8mg for a month and then I’ll go up. I haven’t noticed much of a difference in the food noise. What should I expect?

Day 80 - Friday, July 3, 2026 - 39.6 Pounds Lost (2.5 mg)

I’m doing well, y’all! I switched to taking my medicine in the evenings. I’m exercising multiple times a week, 30 minutes at a time. I’m less connected to junk food than ever. I nibble at things that I used to devour. I concentrate more on how I feel now than filling a bottomless stomach.

For anyone who is looking for cheap sustainable exercise ideas, may I recommend buying a pair of weighted balls and working out with them while walking in place with knee lifts, side steps, back kick, and arm movements? It’s what is working for me. I don’t do gyms. I don’t do deadlifting. I’m hydrating and living, y’all.

I will be pushing to up my dose as I’ve been on 2.5 mg for coming up on two months now. $249 Costco pharmacy payment here we come! Yay. Lol. At least the Costco Executive member and Citibank incentives cushion the blow ever so slightly. And seriously, this is helping me have a much more vibrant life. That is priceless.

Wishing everyone success.

Happy 4th to all those in the U.S.

Down 8.6kg (104.6 to 96) in my first month on Foundayo 0.8mg

Hey everyone, I wanted to share what my first month on Foundayo has actually been like, because stepping on the scale this morning and seeing exactly 96.0 kg down from 104.6 kg was a massive milestone, but the mental shift behind that number is the real story. I took a quick photo of the scale in just to document it, but honestly, the physical and psychological adjustment over the last four weeks has been wild.

For context, I work a pretty high-stress job as a pediatric dentist. My days are a constant whirlwind of managing anxious kids, dealing with nitrous oxide sedation, and being on my feet for hours. Before this, I would come home physically and mentally drained, and my immediate coping mechanism was food. I was constantly defaulting to heavy fast food or massive restaurant buffets just because my brain was too tired to think. Foundayo essentially pulled the emergency brake on that entire lifestyle overnight.

The first two weeks were a massive shock to the system. The early side effects were no joke, mostly this intense, constant heavy fullness that felt like a rock in my stomach for hours, along with waves of nausea and a lot of fatigue as my body adjusted to the delayed digestion. Trying to manage that while keeping children calm in a dental chair was a massive balancing act.

But the biggest hurdle wasn't even the physical symptoms, it was the sudden psychological realization that my main coping mechanism for stress was completely gone.

The real utility I found this month was learning how to reinvent my relationship with food while running on a tight energy budget. When you drop your intake down to a strict 1000 to 1200 calories to maximize the weight loss, you quickly realize you can't just starve yourself or you will crash at work. You have to become incredibly tactical. I had to learn how to aggressively prioritize protein, aiming for a high daily baseline just to keep my strength and focus up for long clinic days.

The most unexpected part of the journey was navigating sensory boredom. When your biological hunger is muted by a GLP-1, your brain still craves the behavioral experience of eating. I found myself genuinely missing the physical crunch of food, to the point where I had to start modifying everything I ate just for the texture. I started introducing things like raw baby cucumbers and a controlled sprinkle of granola into my Greek yogurt and eggs just to trick my brain into feeling satisfied by the act of chewing.

I stopped looking at meals as a comfort and started treating them like a puzzle, like ordering a standard chicken and rice meal but leaving the majority of the rice behind to cut carbs and manually adding extra lean poultry to hit my protein goals.

If anyone is just starting out or trying to manage a demanding, high-stress career while on this medication, the biggest piece of advice I can give after month one is to prepare for the mental vacuum when emotional eating disappears. You have to actively build a new structure of high-protein, high-volume foods that support your daily energy before the fatigue hits you. It takes a lot of trial and error to figure out what fits your specific routine, but seeing the actual progress on the scale makes the entire adjustment worth it.

tldr: Lost 8.6kg (104.6 to 96) in my first month on Foundayo. Navigating the early side effects like nausea and extreme fullness while working a high-stress job as a pediatric dentist was a massive balancing act, but the hardest part was losing food as an emotional coping mechanism. Surviving the drop to a 1000-1200 calorie budget came down to obsessing over protein so I wouldn't crash at work, and finding creative ways to handle sensory boredom when eating stopped being a comfort.

I have achieved my weight loss goal on Zepbound and want switch to the pill for maintenance.

I have lost about 90 lbs over 18 months on Zepbound at 12.5 for most of that time. No side effects to speak of any more. What dose might be a good entry dose for Foundayo? I am thinking 5.5 or 9?

$50 Zepbound, Wegovy and Foundayo on Medicare goes live today — the 3 things tripping people up at the counter

The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge is live as of today. If you're on Part D or a Medicare Advantage drug plan and you qualify, the obesity GLP-1s drop to a flat $50/month through the end of 2027. I fought my own insurance for months to get on a GLP-1, so I've been watching this one closely. Three things are tripping people up in the first hours:

  1. Zepbound only counts if it's the KwikPen. The single-dose vials and pens (including the cheaper LillyDirect vials) are not covered. If your script says vials, it won't ring up at $50. Get it rewritten for the KwikPen.

  2. Nothing happens until the prior auth is approved. It couldn't even be filed before today. If the pharmacy quotes the old price, the usual cause is no PA on file yet, not a coverage gap. Don't pay the cash price out of panic.

  3. The $50 doesn't count toward your out-of-pocket max. The Bridge runs outside the normal Part D flow, so it won't help you hit your annual cap, and there's no low-income subsidy here even if you normally get one.

On which drug to ask for: they're all $50, so price isn't the lever. Foundayo is the daily pill if you won't inject, Zepbound has shown the most weight loss if you're fine with a weekly shot, Wegovy is the middle option and comes as a shot or a tablet.

Not medical advice, I'm not a doctor. Talk to your prescriber about your own situation.

Considering a GLP-1 but on Duloxetine and Olmesartan.

Has anyone been on this combo? Since it delays stomach emptying are there issues with taking an SNRI or blood pressure meds? Have an appointment to talk with doc soon. Currently weigh 206 lbs.

A lot of my weight came from when I was taking pregabalin, but I haven’t been able to get it off since I stopped. 43 yo F so possibly in peri as well.

Haven’t lost any weight, when I should I call it

Been on it for 2 months and dose increased each month. I’m going up to the third dose up now this week for month 3.

I haven’t lost a lb. In fact I’m 5 lbs higher. Appetite suppression is no where near as strong as zepbound.

Also it’s now $300 a month which is a lot for me for no results. Should I just give up and go back to zepbound after this month? What I really liked was I had no side effects on this. I feel like I was either nauseous, constipated or both at all times on zepbound but at least I lost 60 lbs on it.

Two Weeks on Foundayo .8mg

I’ve been on .8mg for 2 weeks so far, and it’s actually been a positive experience for me. I was on Zep for about 2 years, and after coming off 7.5mg, I think it works just as well as Zep at keeping the food noise at bay. I have little to none and have no issues not finishing a meal. Both of these medications have rapid responses for my body personally, so those that may have similar experiences with other GLP1s, it may be a positive switch if you’re tired of the shots or the restrictions. I am at my goal weight, and I’m really just trying it out for maintenance purposes, so I’m not too concerned about significant weight loss. This also helps with the out of pocket cost because I don’t necessarily need to be on a 7.5mg equivalent dosage anymore. Max would be 5.5mg for me if I even need to get to that. On Zep, I lost the majority of my weight on 2.5mg. I was on 7.5mg for like 7 months or so.

Anyway, sorry for the rambling! Just wanted to share some positive results that I’ve personally had and I’m so happy this is an option for me rather than Zep! DAYOO!

TL;DR: Switched from 7.5mg of Zep to Foundayo due to cost and inconvenience. Having positive results in the two weeks I’ve been in it. No food noise, no problem finishing meals, and no side effects as of yet.

Has anyone here increased their Foundayo dose a few days early?

I’m on day 22 of the 0.08 mg dose. Before this, I was on and off Zepbound for a couple of years. It worked for my appetite, but the side effects (especially the fatigue and constant muscle aches) became too much, so my doctor switched me to Foundayo.
So far, I honestly don’t feel like the 0.08 mg dose has done much. I still feel pretty ravenous, and the food noise hasn’t really improved. The only side effect I’ve noticed is… eating more. 😂
I have about 8 pills left before I start the 2.5 mg dose (it’s already on the way). I’m wondering if anyone has taken two of the 0.08 mg pills for the last few days before moving up, just to see if it helped bridge the gap.
I also take it at night because I was worried about nausea or fatigue, although so far I haven’t had either.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did the 0.08 mg dose do anything for you, or did you only start noticing appetite suppression and less food noise after moving up to 2.5 mg? And has anyone increased the dose a few days early with their doctor’s approval?
I’d love to hear your experience.

Officially stopping Foundayo

So this is a disappointing update, but I’ve made the decision to stop Foundayo after 7 weeks.

I’ve lost 15 pounds in 7 weeks; however 11 of those were in the first 10 days, and I’m pretty sure it’s mostly been muscle mass.

Based on my daily notes, I have spent all but 6 of the 48 days feeling like shit. It’s mostly been the nausea and heartburn, but on random days I’ll have flu like symptoms, and if I exert myself for 20-30 minutes I feel like I’m going to pass out, or I get nauseous for an hour.

It took me 5 hours to cut my grass last week during a 78 degree day because I had to stop 3 times for 45-60 minutes each time, then I felt awful the rest of the day. I was in a golf scramble yesterday (so not strenuous), and felt like I was going to pass out the last 4-5 holes, and I hadn’t been drinking alcohol at all.

I think Foundayo has the potential to help a lot of people, unfortunately, I won’t be one of them.

Has anyone else experienced severe insomnia on Foundayo?

I’ve been taking 2.5 mg of Foundayo for about 1.5 weeks, and since starting it, I’ve developed what feels like extreme insomnia. When I search online, everything says that insomnia isn’t a known side effect and that sleep issues are usually caused by things like indigestion or other symptoms interrupting sleep. The problem is, I don’t have any of those symptoms.

Instead, I just can’t fall asleep at all. At one point, I went almost 3 days without sleeping, and now the only way I’ve been able to get any sleep is by taking an OTC sleep aid.

Has anyone else experienced severe while taking Foundayo? Did it improve over time, or did you have to stop taking it? I never experienced this on oral wegovy so it’s just shocking to me!
