Bakery - Square POS, Retail, or Restaurant for website and POS use?

Hi all,

We have a bakery and have been using POS for several years. We have finally made the jump to having a website built, using Woocommerce, and syncing with Square.

Our business is in the tricky middle ground between hospitality, retail and food production: we make everything from scratch in-house, and everything can be bought and for takeaway, however we also have some cafe seating as well.

Am trying to decide which is best - Square for Retail or Square for Restaurants?

We will need:

- Live inventory management (to enable click and collect for on-demand customers who want to grab some bread) that will also track wastage and sell-through data

- QR code ordering for table service in the cafe

- Clock in/out tags for FOH staff coming in to work

- Does Square Loyalty exist on both Square formats?

Automatically-added service charges in restaurants?

Following a recent post about pint prices, I noticed someone talking about Dimitri's adding a 20% service charge to their bill for two drinks.

It got me thinking - what do you do when you see it on the bill? Automatically ask them to take it off and then (not) add your own on? Leave it on unless it hits a piss-take level? What is a piss-take level?

Only asking as seeing more of it in bars and restaurants now.

How to detach from necessary social media marketing?

I have a food business and am quite visible with customers and on the socials. I love my customers but the social media side is *hard*. I've found that it comes with all the anxiety surrounding social media - the intense worry about a post that falls flat, the concern about having to constantly be visible etc. It makes me want to disappear and live in the woods.

I have a strong brand and a growing business; social media is an essential tool in my area of the industry, so the solution can't be to just not do it.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

S24 Ultra: Transferring data to laptop for backup??

Please spare me from a breakdown!!

No matter what I try, my laptop does not recognise my phone when I plug it in (USB C- USB C)

I have:

plugged in several cables, including a new cable marked as a 'data cable' on the box.

Perform a Forced Restart

Updated Samsung USB Drivers

Cleared the USB System Cache

Forced the USB Configuration to Transferring files / Android Auto

Uninstalled all drivers with question marks, and updated all the others

Force-Installed the Hidden Windows MTP File

Downloaded and installed Samsung Drivers Manually

Disabled Samsung Auto Blocker

I am currently transferring 256gb of data via Link to Windows, and it is SLOW.

PLEASE tell me if I am missing something!!
