So I finally pulled the trigger and joined NFCU. I'm moving out of state and my bank I've had for 20 years is local. I haven't had a credit union in the last 20 years.
Few questions.
Is there a time limit on getting credit cards or loans?
Also are there things that I should take advantage of that are of no cost?
I just want to get the most out of my membership.

When I open my new accounts, Can I open a checking and my savings goal account from the start?
I'm a little confused if I need to start with a regular savings account first. I definitely want separate buckets for savings goals.

The ugliest part of my debt has been previous years of IRS debt and it's done. After my wife passing away, I've been on a grief and debt free journey at the same time.
