Does anyone actually prefer the d3 stainless pans? Sauteing and flipping food feels much more natural for me on the d3 stainless pans which have the more concaved sides. Not a huge fan of the steeper sides on d3 everyday pans.
If Vitamix is advertising this as a modern upgrade to the 5200 then why is it $180 cheaper? The extra .25 horsepower motor and self clean mode are meaningless upgrades. Do they want to funnel people to lower quality product with an inferior warranty? Something rubs me the wrong way about this and the direction of the company entirely. I don’t care about gimmicky “smart” features. The 5200 is the gold standard for a reason. It’s simple, does the job exceptionally well, and it’s built to last. I have a feeling Vitamix realized the 5200 is too good of a blender and if you own one you won’t need to buy a new blender for a very long time.
