Curling Saran Doll Hair - let's do it right!

So I have included her hair before I put straws in and after. I'm pretty confident her hair is saran. (Please, do correct me if I am wrong)

I have her hair in the straws for mostly voluminous curls to get her hair back to its former glory and a few small straws near the front. I alternated between up and down curling.

I haven't done after boiling water over the hair yet because - I'm concerned the direction I did will make it jank looking because I've seen people do curling where they just wrap hair around a straw downward instead of filling over a straw like if you were using hot rollers on your own head. I also have seen something about boiling wash followed by ice bath/going into the freezer to set. I want to set myself up for success because if it doesn't come out perfectly, I will abandon this project because I just know how I am.

Pictures included are my Amanita straw curled and an alternative example, not my doll. But to show an example of how to curl that I didn't use. (Credit to alternative curling style photo: [tywla curling picture](https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterHigh/s/gHienbp8Cr)

Thank you so much!

No fake spotting and Puppies essentially self trained before they're a year old (sarcasm and venting)

So I follow this sub and the other one. I will read the post and just roll my eyes. The things people are looking for dogs to do just seem so.... Extensive and unnecessary. I say this as a person with many diagnoses and many things that would be considered a disability if I didn't get so fatigued from dealing with state disability. However - I will see people on that board talking about .. skin picking... Or nail biting... Like they want to train their dog to just let them know someone is giving them stank face.

Then they have a rule about not fake spotting. But I feel like 75-80% of people are on there getting tips on how to convince others they're real.

There are so many people who brag about their dogs training and alerting before the dog is even a year old. Then others are like that's too young. There others will be like don't say anything if you don't have constructive criticism. It's wild there.

I saw someone asking about a dog for Narcolepsy and ADHD or maybe. Naroclepsy and Fibromyalgia. I could not imagine having a service dog for my narcolepsy. I realized I am better offer without children because how much care they need and they won't understand when I have sleep attacks or cataplexy episodes. I cannot fathom taking care of a dog when I can hardly care for myself.

If a tree falls in the forest

It falls into the light house and the BiW says something vague and pushes the tree out. And the tree ends up in Maine. That's why so much of Maine is uninhabitable.

Dawn of the Dance but G3

So I've desired Dawn of the Dance dolls. But I already started my G3 versions before I knew about the creeproductions. So as I've said, I try to keep any collection to 3 dolls. So here is Frankie in their original Dawn of the Dance outfit. Clawdeen in an outfit inspired, she isn't done. And then I love Ghoulia, I am waiting for a few pieces to mix inspiration with her original dress. This is also not her final hair. I just need her there to see the three together. None of them are in their final form. I intend to work on some custom jewelry but that's at the end.

Ghouls Getaway? Not with this grip.

I feel like this is the most elusive Elissabat and it makes me consider parting ways with an incomplete Elissabat I have. I know she's a popular girlie but I think this is the Elissabat for me. And Jane. But I like to have three when I buy from a line. So I'm like do I get Spectra, Jinafire, or try to make a ooak to match with them?

Custom Oasis Mysteries Venus

Restyling Venus McFlytrap to join Jinafire and Lagoona. I crocheted Jinafire's new cardigan and I may add some red in there and repaint her shoes. Lagoona, I think I may make her a new cardigan but I'm not sure how to make it more beach bum sea lady like. And Venus' will have some pink added along the cuffs and collar.

Restyling Venus McFlytrap to join Oasis mysteries

I am working on making Venus blend with Jinafire and Lagoona so I'm crocheting all new cargidans for all of them. Venus is getting a mix of Draculaura's clothes, her own, and whatever fits the vibes. I may make Lagoona a new one but I'm not sure what color I would make hers or make it seem very beach girl sea lady. I intend to add some pink to Venus's cardigan for the flytrap aesthetics. No ends sewn in yet.

Theory/theropy

I have to post it here for the risk of the squareglide from subreddit might believe it. Here's the theory. So they get out of Fromsville and then season 5 they all get reset to Their ORIGINAL LIVES. Surprise, arrogant Jade was WRONG. They all are reincarnated from the original village who sacrificed their kids. They found the kids bones and now they all go back to that original first cycle. With their knowledge, having to face their kids, and Tabitha is also there with every husband she's had in every life. Every Jim, every Henry, every Jade. And then we learn about each cycle on a different episode and the sacrificed children terrorize all the adults.

Discourse over characters believing one another and how long have the Matthew's and Jade been in From?

Tagged for spoilers in case you aren't caught up for season 4. Also my post is written and posted in screenshots because I'm mobile and didn't want a wall of text.

Blessed genetics I suppose

So I am 38. When I tell people no I was there in the 80s (barely of consciousness), people are like no you weren't. In my 20s, I feared growing older so I loved playing the guess how old I am game. But something switched when I was 30 or 31. I said let's not play that game anymore. How do I know if people are genuine or placating me? But even still, I will have new co-workers be surprised by my age. I work with a lot of women who are a decade younger than me and just assume I am the age. When I mention being with my husband for 20 years, I get asked how. I recently got my esthetician license and jokes about utilizing my father and saying I helped reverse his aging. He just turned 73 but people think he's in his 50s. I'm not sure where people pull numbers from, but I'm just like. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it's funny. I don't drink and I don't do anything that would require me to be ID'ed as proof of age but I sometimes pull out knowledge that makes people go like oh yeah, you are 38. And I'm like yes, I am a geriatric millennial even tho technically that's age range is also gate kept. I am an old crochety man whilst being a young hip lady at once.

Gen 2, the silent generation

So I only began to collect MH dolls last year. I think I saw the Gen3 spectra and fell in love and it was downhill/uphill from there. Anyways, I always liked Honey Swamp and Operetta but never saw the dolls in person and people do not that flattering pictures of the dolls so I was adverse to gen1 for a while. But I have started a small collection of G1 dolls now but as I go through releases, I do see that their faces are completely off. I was telling my sister how even gen1 and gen3 counterparts don't look like they're even cousins for some of the ghouls. But to my point - did they just say forget about articulation for Gen 2? I feel like any and every gen2 doll I see as the stiff arms which are now associated with the budget releases. Or are people just harbouring the good gen2 bodies?
