40 male, matches dropped off

I’ve been on the apps since I was 37 and I’ve basically used a similar profile for most of the time. I can’t figure it out, but when I first started I could get a few matches a week and maybe go on 1 date a week.

Now at 40, it seems to have dropped off where I can’t get as many matches and not many of them turn into dates. Is it something about turning 40? Or is online dating worse now than it was a few years ago?

Confused about where to go after baby step 3

So I’m basically out of all debt and have a 6 month emergency fund saved. When he says 15% of income into retirement, I’m assuming that just continues year after year? I find it hard to put that amount of money into retirement and then have any left over to save for kids college or pay off my house.

Is there an amount where I should stop contributing to retirement and focus more on kids college? Or what amount should I aim for with kids college and then shift to house payments. I’m 40 years old and have 2 kids who are 5 and 8.
