I’ve been catching up with the latest Web Novel chapters, and I wanted to get your thoughts on the popular theory regarding Philore. Specifically, do you guys think she is actually a manipulator planning to brainwash Emilia ? Or is that theory basically outdated at this point ??

Personally, I’m leaning toward the latter. From what I’ve read, she hasn't really shown anything that points toward those kinds of intentions.

Most people who push this theory seem to base it entirely on the game version of the character.

But wouldn't it be incredibly strange for Tappei to just "copy-paste" the exact same character arc or scenario from the game into the web novel ?

Do you think her behavior in the recent chapters supports the "evil" theory ?

Or is she a genuine ally, and the fandom is just paranoid because of the game's lore ?

And if she is really evil and have the "mindcontrol power" , do you think she can brainwash Emilia ? And make her not believe in subaru ??
