How is this not an accepted word?

I can understand that regular words which got adopted as racial slurs are not acceptable in wordle but "lynch"?

This is ridiculous! This is sociological phenomenon that's very real and happening around the world right now, including India where people are literally being lynched in public with state support and approval for being Muslims or Dalits.

How can NYT games just "ban" this word?

Should Crossplay get an ELO rating for players?

I'll admit Crossplay has grown on me over the last couple of months. It's fun for a casual gamer like me who plays 6-7 games a week.

In the last month though, I've been on two streaks - for two weeks I beat everyone and for two weeks I got beaten by everyone I played.

A quick check of profiles suggested that the people beating me were playing at least twice or thrice the number of games I was playing so they were perhaps not playing as casually as I was.

The algorithm picking players for me is probably a bit broken so my suggestion is - can we have an ELO rating for Crossplay? This allows us to choose our opponents better and adds one more competitive element to games with friends.

The so-called Ram Temple loot is a victim less "crime"

Hear me out.

The Ram Mandir was built after an illegal demolition followed by a rigged, bought judgment. The trust to run it was set up by a government to avoid accountability and transparency. All of this is public knowledge.

Yet, people willingly chose to give money to the temple. For what? What does the trust use it for? Just upkeep of the temple so that it can get more donations?

Yogi is right. Once you give it to a temple trust, you have no say in what happens to it. People who are crying about lack of receipts or loss of donations are fools. They knew the fraud was carried out openly and continued to participate in it for the worst possible reasons.

If the money was being used to make the trustees and staff richer, I say good for them. At least the money is being put back into the economy for some useful purpose instead of sitting in a bank account.

If you associate with fraudsters and give them money, I've nothing but the world's tiniest violin when you get defrauded.

Time to bring back the Cure for Cancer Wonder of the World?

Let's be honest - most of the Wonders of the World are self aggrandising ego trips created by tyrants (Pyramids, Taj Mahal, Terracotta Army) or just tourist traps (Eiffel Tower, every religious wonder). Only a very few have benefited humanity at large (Panama Canal, Great Lighthouse). One which undeniably benefited humanity at large would've been a cure for cancer and I'm somewhat baffled it didn't make it to Civ games post Civilization 2.

In light of this recent piece of news, I wonder if "Cure for Cancer" could make it back to the Civilization games.
