Helical fletchings noob question

So i've ordered a fletching jig (bohning pro class), some shafts, points, nocks, and feathers and will just jump into building some arrows, i thought.

now i'm a bit torn on helical fletchings and i thought i might make a few with straight fletchings and a few with helical.

question: does helical impact flight / point of impact to a noticeable degree, compared to straight fletchings? i know that helical increases drag and thereby reduces range, but i'm wondering by how much

could it be a good idea to have half my arrows with helical for closer shots and the other half with straight fletchings for more long-range shots, or would i shoot myself in the foot with that, messing up my point of impact/consistency?

additional info:

i'd use them for 3d parcours and recreational "back yard" shooting, so anything between 10 and 50m (though 90%+ of shots will be 25m and closer, i'm guessing)

i have a 30# take-down bow with a magnetic rest and button, no sight

hence, i thought the straight fletchings might give me that little bit extra range for the long shots

arrows would be 30" with 4" shield cut feathers, because i like the looks, even though i should probably have picked shorter feathers for outdoors at 30#

any experience and anecdotes welcome
