Fort Riggs Feathers

After meeting the Drunk Veteran and noticing the feather appearing on the map, I thought I’d take another look around Fort Riggs.

This caught my eye. I found it on the outer posts, directly in front of the derelict building that sits next to the fort. *At the entrance.

I’ve never noticed these on any of my previous playthroughs. You can’t interact with them, they don’t highlight under Dead Eye, and I couldn’t find anything similar anywhere else around the site.

What makes it even more interesting is that they clearly appear to have been added afterwards, rather than being part of Fort Riggs when it was still active.

Has anyone else noticed these before? Could this be cut content, or is there something more to these feathers? Maybe some kind of symbolism or a way of paying respect?

What songs get you into your zen flow state?

I’m talking deep into your flow - that zen state where the music, movement and creativity all seem to become one.

I’m usually somewhere between:

- Psy-trance

- Progressive house - Sébastien Léger

- Electronic violin - Lindsey Stirling

- Classical

- Classical crossover - Nigel Kennedy

- Electro-swing

- Metal

- Rock

- Alternative rock

…but I’m creatively stuck and looking to change up my tunes. I’m open to any and all genres. I listen to everything from blues, jazz, soul, funk, reggae, Afrobeat and Latin, to drum & bass, techno, ambient, trip-hop, indie, progressive rock, hip-hop, R&B, pop and even Pavarotti - there are gems in every genre.

I want to discover something completely new, especially those unexpected tracks that just make you want to move.

Drop your favourites below!

Photo: my upcycled violin, turned into a clock and covered with my own hand-stained sheet music, for the algorithm.

And for anyone curious, those are two $1 bills folded into origami and wedged into the neck, with Washington’s face showing in the middle. *Yes, the violin was broken beyond functional use before being given a fresh life.

How can I remove fake cork inserts from lids for an upcycling project?

Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone here can help with an upcycling project.

I have these lids with fake cork inserts that I’d like to remove so I can reuse the bases to display my mineral collection. I’ve tried loosening the adhesive to remove them, but I haven’t had any luck so far.

I’m not sure if there’s a better method or a trick for getting them out cleanly without damaging the lids. Has anyone removed these before, or have any tips that might help? I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

What club tricks did you find easiest when you were starting out?

What club tricks did you find easiest when you were starting out?

I’ve recently started learning clubs and I’m finding the transition from balls a lot harder than I expected. I assumed some of my ball patterns would transfer over more easily, but the timing, rotations, and catches feel completely different.

I usually juggle flowersticks, which has also made the transition a little tricky as I’m used to mostly doing half-rotation throws.

I’m using PX3 clubs and currently I’m comfortable with:

Regular cascade

Reverse cascade

Throwing one club high

Half Mills Mess

Half rotation catches

Currently working on backcrosses and flats

I’d love to hear what club tricks you found easiest to learn when you were starting out. Were there any that felt like a natural progression from ball juggling, or any that helped you get comfortable with clubs?

Any tips for making the ball-to-club transition smoother would also be appreciated!

Advice on redowelling and reskinning juggling knives (UK)

I’m need to redowel and reskin the handles on these juggling knives that I bought secondhand. They were already in pretty rough shape when I got them, and I’d like to restore them rather than replace them.

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to approach this? I'd also really appreciate any video tutorials or recommendations on where to source suitable dowel and other materials. I’m based in the UK, so if anyone has favourite suppliers, I’d love to hear them.

I’m also planning to recover the handles with a different material. I’m not performing with them, so I’m not too concerned about keeping them traditional. I’d much rather use something that’s comfortable and grippy than the shiny, slippery material they currently have. If anyone has suggestions for suitable handle materials, I’d really appreciate those too.

Thanks in advance! 🤹
