Looking for a wargame that can be played on typical, gas station style, atlas road maps.

Ive been looking for a wargame or ruleset that can be played using regular maps of real world locations. Like states, cities or even topographical maps of national forests. Ive found a few that seem interesting, but im wondering what else might be out there.

I found one called Ranger that seems promising but im having a hard time finding out much about it on the internet. Theres only a handful of resources ive been able to find on it, but it does seem like it could be played on other maps. That is if I could find a copy.

Im not too picky about genre. Whether its 1700's, 1800's, WW1 or 2, Vietnam, Modern, Fantasy, Sci-fi or whatever else it might be. Ive just always thought it would be cool to be able to play a wargame on a map of a real location.
