Looking for bakery options

My family has been getting birthday and other cakes from Sweetheart Bakery on Kelly Road for the past 25+ years. Went to order a cake the other day and found out it was closed. I’m not a “foodie” and maybe it was the nostalgia, but always found their cakes the best.

Looking for recommendations on other bakeries that are local and do similar, buttercream cakes.

Ford Vehicle Connector for GenerLink?

My local utility sells and installs the GenerLink system but won’t sell the ford vehicle connector. Says that the lightning isn’t compatible with the GenerLink system and that they’ve “talked to the CEO of [GenerLink] and explained this to him”. Anywhere I can buy the connector apart from the GenerLink itself? May have my utility install the 30A one anyway and just need the connection cable to attach to the truck.

“Future proof” home for ev charging and V2H/V2G

Curious what people are doing to enable their home charging to work with the next gen EVs - specifically more robust V2H/V2G setups. Live in the Midwest in a 100yr old house. Need to upgrade my panel for an EV charger but want to enable V2H as well for a future ev - up to this point charge exclusively at work. Have a lightning now and not sure what my next will be, but lease is up next year. Originally was planning to do Ford’s own setup for automatic home backups, but based on reviews and the fact they discontinued the lightning, didn’t want to do that assuming future EVs offer may offer more integrated internal setups. Currently plan is a 200amp panel, bonded generator hookup for the lightning pro power, and a 48amp charger.

How to overcome the feeling of a role plateau?

I’m in house counsel at a F50 organization. From a leveling standpoint I’m considered a senior manager ( 4 levels away from the CEO).

I Started my career in finance for 3 years in IBanking and then went to law school, since then have been practicing law for 10 years, started out as a law firm lawyer at a large, 1,000 plus lawyer firm for 5.5 years and the rest in house (a tech company and now my current company). Now 2.5 years at my current company and can’t shake the feeling of professional development plateauing at my company - being relegated to second chair, no ownership, no promotion opportunity, no career growth.

I’ve expressed my goals and ambitions for more responsibility, more ownership opportunities and promotions for the past year. My manager is receptive but he’s largely told me that there is nothing available and process is opaque. I’ve even asked him what’s needed for him to start making the ask and has told me there isn’t a path. EDIT: and when I’ve pressed he’s touched on the fact the headcount in those roles needs to leave first - many of those in those positions have pensions and will retire in the next 5 years, but it’s unclear when that will actually happen. And there isn’t much pressure to force them out.

I don’t per se think it’s me (I’ve been rated in the top 20% of employees since I’ve started) but rather the org doesn’t see turnover. Half of my team is made up of people who have been at the company over 20 years. EDIT : the two people between me and the GC have been at the org 70 years, collectively.

Realizing the fact tenure is so long I’ve asked about succession planning and if I fit in. I’ve essentially been told yes but no clarity on what that means.

Really things a long way of saying i feel like I should start looking elsewhere for a role that fits what I want to be doing and chase that to gain a promotion. Is that unreasonable? I’m a little below the midpoint of my career and don’t want to keep job hopping. I’d also hate to leave because I find the projects I work on incredibly interesting, I just consistently get relegated to a junior position and senior leaders seem to hoard work.
