Fck this shit
I’ve been freelancing since I was a fucking high school kid, and never in my career have I had to deal with this level of lala giri
The client showed up late, didn’t even have the proper setup ready for the shoot, and despite all that I still did my job professionally. Then at the end of it all he goes, “Yo, I don’t like this concept, we can try something else.” The funniest part is that HE came up with the concept in the first place and then rejected his own idea.
But alright, shit happens. People change their minds. I stayed calm and handled it professionally. I told him I wouldn’t even charge for the edit, just the shoot day because my time, effort, and work still went into it.
Now the guy suddenly stops receiving my calls, ignores the texts, and disappears completely.
What makes it even more annoying is that he’s worked with Siyahi and is close to one of my friends, so I can’t even fully crash out over this. I still have to maintain my cool both as a professional and as someone connected through mutuals.
Honestly though, situations like this just make me hate this city’s work culture even more than I already do. The lack of professionalism, the casual disrespect for people’s time, and the way some people operate here is exhausting....
