[M4F] Looking to start a slow-burn, low stakes romance RP :)

Hey, hey! W’as goin’ on? It’s been a long time since I’ve thrown my hat back into the roleplaying ring, an even longer time since I’ve written a post searching for a partner; on that part, I apologize if it’s a bit rusty. Anyhow, lately I’ve been wanting to get back into roleplay, and I kind of wanna do something more character-driven and easygoing.

A plot I kinda have in mind is: A burnout creative teaching the new hire at his job. Stuck working a dead-end job since laying his dreams down, he’s saddled with the (at first, begrudging) burden of training the newest hire. Eventually, the two grow closer, yadiyadayada. Can you tell it’s been a while?

Some other RP plots I’d be interested in are:

Small town best friends (adorable, honestly)

Enemies to lovers :P

Drummer x Bassist (I’d lowkey love this)

About me as a partner, though. I tend to range from semi-literate to literate; legitimately, it just depends on how much imagery and scene-setting I can suck out of one moment. Sometimes I’ll write about the way steam billows from a kettle, or how paint dries when a window is left open. Other times, I’ll just do the best I can at pressing the plot forward. Really, it’s all contingent on what’s happening for us both. I make a killer opener, though!

I work a part-time job right now, but am starting college next year, so my schedule will likely fill up here and there. Right now, though, I am free as the wind kissing a field.

I am 19, so I’d prefer someone over 18. You could be 30 for all I care, honestly—just don’t be under 18.

For a plot, I’d honestly love to plan it as we go. Start with a basic premise and watch it go from this wee little thing to a tower sorta deal. I obviously have a more vivid “idea” in terms of the creative burnout (which is not projecting, I swear ^^’) and the new hire, but if you have any other ideas or premises you’d want to follow, I’m locked in. (Drummer x bassist would be fire, too, ngl).

Lastly, I am somebody who thrives off OoC chatter. It’s paramount to weaving a coherent plot, I think, and I also just like to know the person I’m writing with. Obviously, I won’t yap yer ear off till you hate me, but I just want a partner to chat with about the plot.

Really, I’m just looking for a fun, simple RP that can be a neat little past time for us both to practice our character-writing skills.

Anyhow, if you’ve made it this far and still find yourself interested, shoot me a DM here :P I mainly roleplay on Discord, but whichever you prefer is fine by me! Have a nice one :)

Two character designs two years apart

Hopefully the resolution translates well (I draw at 5560x9668)

Anyways, I redrew these two characters back in 2025 (their OG designs were in 2023) and just wanted to show them :)

First chapter of my final draft. Looking for some feedback.

When I was fifteen, I wrote the second draft for my book, On the Brink of Collapse, which was meant to be the first novel in a long-running series that’d span my life. Recently, as I was trudging through development of the second book (which occurs only a week after this), I realized just how much it SUCKED. Thankfully, being self-published on Amazon and all, nobody read it, so now I have the opportunity to restart it on my own terms.

I’ve matured a lot since I’ve written the second rendition and so has my writing style, and, honestly, I’m pretty proud of how this came out!

Everything about my writing now feels unfocused

Hello!

For my whole life that I can remember, I’ve been writing. Ingratiated in storytelling, utterly obsessed with it. There wasn’t a day in high school I wasn’t planning something, writing in my book, or just thinking about my story.

Recently, though, it feels like everything about my writing—from the creative process, the character-writing, and the actual storytelling/writing—just feels off. I feel like I rush my writing or I lag too much, or my characters aren’t defined enough and I don’t spend enough time writing them. It feels like I’m not immersed in writing my book, I’m just going through the paces. It feels like I’m writing just to write. I’ve tried putting projects down for a little and coming back, or working on a different book and trying to plan like I used to, but I just feel so damn unfocused all the time.

I have ADHD, anxiety, and depression but that’s never seemed to stop me before from engaging with my craft. Hell, some of the worst years of my life produced some really good stories, but now that I’ve become an adult and am trying to find my footing, it just feels like I’m rushing everything. I don’t feel anything when I write a character’s personality; all I do is just scrutinize it and make myself feel terrible about it.

I don’t really know what to do anymore, honestly. I love writing and it’s the one thing I’d say I’m good at, but it also feels like everything I used to do with it is gone. Feels like my creativity has just fallen off a cliff and drowned in a lake.

If anybody has experienced this before or has insight on it, please let me know. Thank you

Possibilities of a mod to bring back the full prologue?

Just kind of the title text. I think most are in agreement that the prologue is the best part of the story and it’s a damn shame they removed the first half for whatever reason. Just curious, then, if there’s possibilities for a mod that restores it?

Bit of a newbie to collecting physical media, but I bought a shelf for all the stuff I currently have!

I wanted to put my PS Vita on the bottom shelf, but I don’t have enough memorabilia or cases for it to not look awkward. I couldn’t fit my PSVR2 in the cubicles either, unfortunately.

I’m new to collecting physical media, though. My biggest collection is 65 vinyl records accrued over 4-ish years(?), but I’ve only recently got into collecting video games like GameCube and such. I’ve got a Gameboy Color & Advance, GameCube, Wii, DS & 3DS, N64, Xbox 360, PS3, and the PS Vita. I really like handhelds, though; the Steam Deck is my favorite I’ve ever owned.

I hope to get more 360 and PS3 games in particular, but unfortunately collecting will get harder as I’m having to shift focus on becoming an actual adult. I could only really build a collection like this because I was a dumbass kid bad with money and with a love for stuff like this

Does Glitch even check their email?

I pre-ordered the Caine puppet plush when Episode 8 of TADC came out, and for some reason the site used my old address rather than my current one. I never even listed that address as mine, so I have no idea how they got it. Anyhow, after realizing they did that, I sent two emails to GLITCH asking to get my address changed because if it is sent to that old house, I won’t get it. The new owners are thieves that we’ve already had package issues with before. They still haven’t gotten back to me 3 days later and I’m starting to get worried if they even check their emails
