Carrying financial weight as a new mom

I'm a new mother to a 3 month old baby. I was wondering how some of you manage finances in regard to the baby? Does your husband/partner buy clothes or any other items for the baby or do you as the mother typically do that? I find myself carrying the financial weight often by having to buy groceries, things for the baby, and the household, on top of almost all the household bills . Is that normal? I don't mind doing it, but it can be a lot of pressure . How do you all have a balance of finances and decide who pays for what? My husband is getting his doctorate so he works part time since school takes up a lot of time.

New mom experiencing loss of freedom

I'm a new mother(26f) of a 10 week old baby boy whom I love so much. I was never the type of woman who yearned to be outside all of the time, but I do love an occasional outing with my friends and family. My husband is such a great dad and is very active with our son, but he is completing a doctoral program which means he has to go out of town every few months. I feel like lately ive been missing out on events with family and friends and it kind of hurts. I love showing up for people even when people don't always reciprocate showing up for me, and ive just had to be in mom mode all the time (which I am still so grateful for). How do you manage not having as much freedom or the ability to be spontaneous in your life as a mother? Or how can you find a balance within motherhood and friendships? Im the only one in my friend group with a husband and a child so I feel like im living a completely different life and its just now hitting me .
