AIO My wife is worried about my Adderall

I, 32 yo F, was diagnosed as an adult with ADHD. I’ve been on Adderall for around 7-8 months now. I don’t take it every day. I’m prescribed 15mg extended release and 10mg instant as a booster when needed. I, honest to god truth, picked up my 10mg instant release over a month ago and haven’t touched a single pill from it bc I’m still on the supply I got two or three months ago. I also still have 19 pills of my extended release from the supply I got a little over a month ago. I say that to say, I do not in any way abuse it. I under take it.
Never in my life have I ever been addicted to any substance. Ever. I have never made comments about abusing my Adderall. There is no change in my behavior when I take it. Nothing to indicate that I’m acting inappropriately.
Today I met with my psychiatrist and he moved me from 15mg to 20mg because he felt with my current symptoms, I still had wiggle room to increase a small amount and have an increased effectiveness without crossing the threshold of taking TOO much. I told him what I was on was “good enough” (EXACT WORDS) and I was worried that if we mess with good enough it may not work out. He explained that with Adderall I’ll know right away if it was the wrong decision and we can go back down if I need to but that it was totally my decision. I agreed that it could be useful and agreed to try. Easy enough, right?
I went up to Walgreens tonight (8p) to grab it because I work 12 hour shifts the next 3 days so I knew I wouldn’t be able to get by and get it until next week.
I’m getting into bed tonight and my wife says to me “Please be careful. Adderall is a highly addictive substance”. First off, I’m an RN. This is information I already know. I got upset and tried to explain that by saying that, she’s insinuating that I’m doing something wrong, or risky, or bad by taking it. She argued that drug addicts who take pain meds don’t start out that way. Again, I do not abuse my meds. I have never been addicted to anything.
AIO for feeling like she insinuating that I’m a drug addict or abusing a medication that is prescribed to me by making comments like “be careful, that’s highly addictive”?
