Hello Iron Tenth and I hope you are all doing well!

I am planning on finally painting the miniatures I have accumulated thus far (sitting at a 1,000 point army).

I have been thinking about how I want to paint them and have an outline below of what I am thinking. I know how we all choose to paint is subjective as it is whatever we want but I am more so looking for advice or any painting tips. This will be my first time painting. I have different brushes and I know you should thin your paints. That's all I know.

I have primed all my miniatures using Citadel chaos black primer.

My thoughts for paints:

Base coat - Abadon Black

Weapons - Corax white

Metal augments and weapon components - Leadbelcher

Wings on chest plate- Iron Hands Steel

Lenses- Mephiston Red

Iron Hands symbol on pauldron - Corax white

Any chains on pauldron- leadbelcher

Belt pouches and holsters- agrax earthshade

I plan on doing a nuln oil finish over the metal components and weapons. Should this be applied over the full mini too?

I plan on edge highlighting using Iron Hands Steel or Dawnstone (looking for advice)

I dont have paints for skin colors so please share what you have done.

I plan on following the codex for the sergeants and lieutenants relative to how to paint their helmets.

Would this scheme work for my gladiator lancer and redemptor dreadnoughts?

Good morning brothers of the Iron 10th. I wanted to share my 1,000 point list (see below) to see if you have any thoughts or advice on how to improve. I have played to date 4 games of combat patrol and 2 games of 1,000 point (all 10th edition over the last 4 months). I am still very new but not trying to whore around a meta but want to instead maybe focus on synergies and continuing to learn the game. One of my dreadnoughts is actually equipped with the plasma weapon that adds +10 points so im actually at 1,005 so this would need to be fixed.
