Thoughts on Wingspan Pocket for solo play?

Did anyone else catch the Wingspan Pocket gameplay video that went up the other day? It looked pretty decent for a 2-4 player game. But I dove into the rules and it seems like you'll be playing against an automated player with specific cards and such.

There's no prices point yet but I'm wondering if you guys will be picking this up to play solo or not in general. I think if it's around $20-25 I'm probably game to pre-purchase.

Their website here has more information + the rules that contain solo play explanations: https://stonemaiergames.com/games/wingspan/wingspan-pocket/

I finally caved in and played Marvel Champions

I recently just got into solo board gaming and Marvel Champions was on the list. I primarily come from a TCG background and after finally seeing a How To Play video I was instantly hooked. Pure cards, combos, and deck building. Yeah, it was a no brainer.

A lot of the product seems to be really hard to find or out of print but I see that that they're still making new product. Pretty excited for the upcoming Fear No Evil set. I think I'll stick with structure decks for now until I exhaust my options.

I started creating playthroughs of my sessions and will be uploading frequently. If you're interested in following my journey into Marvel Champions then you're welcome to follow along! I'm still learning the game so I might make mistakes here and there and I'm definitely still optimizing the recording setup but so far I'm REALLY enjoying this game.

Okay, this game's actually really good.

Hey, everyone! I recently got into playing board games solo. After researching exactly how the game is played and the copious amount of product, I decided to give Final Girl a go. I started with the Starter Kit including the Happy Camp Trails and I also picked up The Intruders feature film.

After playing a couple of times, I can't recommend this game enough for solo game players let alone horror fans. The amount of random scenarios/setups make the game so replayable for me. But honestly, being able to imagine all of the scenes play out as you reveal the next terror card, the tension of dice rolls when the killer is right around the corner, and the strategy of resource management.. I'm happy to say that I'll most likely be picking up a new Feature Film every month or so.

So for anyone on the fence on whether or not they want to dive into the game. Do it, at least for the starter kit. It's a low barrier to entry with the price and you can always expand your collection on you play more.
