Async classes while out of the country?
Has anyone encountered issues with this?
I have an async class coming up in the fall but I’m thinking about going on trip for a little bit. I’m curious if this is doable or not.

Can someone tell me what textbook is being used for calculus ?
I threw my textbook away some time ago and now I need another one.
thanks
For instance, math 180 has some type of support class that’s 2 units.
Is that a supplemental class that goes over what you already went over in class?
I assume it’s 2 units of tutoring in a class style environment but I’m not sure. If it’s just tutoring then I assume they put units on it just to charge a fee to get the help.
Can someone please explain how the class works. Thanks
I’m curios how many supply chain folk found a job after their degree?
Yes I know the market is trash right now. But if you found a job in supply chain with no experience It would be nice to know your story
Long story short, I took calculus up to calc 2 over 10 years ago. I’m going back to school and thought I would have to repeat all the algebra, trig and pre calc courses again but then I found this program on the schools website. I’m pretty excited as it’ll save me a lot of time.
Has anyone taken this course and can offer any insight?
Been in the workforce since I was 18. Worked in the same place my whole life doing blue collar warehouse work. Not a bad job, just a job though. There’s no upward mobility since it’s a small family owned business.
I’m thinking of quitting my job and going back to school full time with a purpose of pursuing an ie degree.
I have two options:
I can either get a supply chain degree from wgu since I want to realistically work in supply chain.
Or I’m going to quit my job and go back to school for the next 4 or 5 years and knock out the ie degree from a good engineering college in my area.
If I choose the second option, i have the money aspect figured out so that’s not an issue.
Id like to work in supply chain doing strategic sourcing. A lot of good companies I’ve seen on LinkedIn seem to focus on only hiring engineering staff even for their supply chain and logistics role.
Am i crazy to drop everything and go back to school full time at 41 and finishing around 45/46?
Maybe I should just take the easier route and get a degree from wgu? Not sure. It’s a big decision. For context I make less than 75k. I realistically believe that if I quit and go back to school full and finish the degree, the same job I’m at will still be paying less than or very near to 75k.
Question for you guys, I’m about to turn 41. I’ve worked in blue collar warehouse jobs since I was 20. Everything from inventory clerk, order picking, forklift ops, and now working on laser cutting machine. The company I work for is a smallish owned family company. There’s no place for upward movement, only lateral.
I want to pivot into strategic sourcing as that seems interesting and something I might enjoy.
My choices are 2, either:
I can go to WGU and do their supply chain and ops management degree.
Or
I can quit my job and go back to school full time for an industrial engineering degree from a locally respected engineering college where good companies recruit from.
If I took option 2 I have the money aspect figured out. So that’s not a concern anymore.
I’ve searched all over LinkedIn, places like Boeing, Northrop Grumman, SpaceX, and Anduril mostly employee engineers even in the supply chain department.
I also see very little WGU degrees there. So that’s doesn’t make it impossible, just less likely that I could get a job there.
By the way, I’m not saying I have to work at a place like the aforementioned companies, I just want a good job that pays well and that I can grow professionally and financially.
For context, I make less than 75k and I suspect in 4 or 5 years when I’m done with the degree I’ll still be earning less or right about 75k since it’s a union job and contracts get negotiated every 3 or 4 years
Thoughts? Really struggling with this decision.
Is it easy to get online classes? Back in 2016 I always struggled to get good classes with the good professors. I’m curious if the online classes are the same thing.
Everytime I submit an application I always get asked to disclose any disabilities. I’m not technically disabled but I do have a listed condition(asthma).
Why would employers hire someone with a known disability as opposed to someone with no disability? It seems like it’s an easy way to see yourself out of the hiring pool.
Im thinking of selling it. Whats a good price to sell it for?
