Evening craft meet up Kingswood.

Hello!
Do you like making stuff? Do you like a pint of something nice with a bowl of chips? Do you sometimes enjoy talking to people? Or sometimes would rather be around people but are a bit shy or anxious to be that person who starts up the conversation? Do you work all day and miss the daytime and weekend meet ups? Then do I have the club for you!

Craft and draft meet every Tuesday at The Rose and Crown Two Mile Hill at 7pm. We have the usual knitters and crocheters, but we’ve had artists, weavers, spinners, embroidery, macrame, even origami! Any craft that’s portable is encouraged.

We are open to everyone! Yes, that includes you too fellas.

No fees. But it would be nice for you to support the pub with a drink as we don’t have to pay to use the space they reserve for us.

Most updates are posted on IG @craftanddraftbristol

PS. When I first started the club back in Jan and shared everyone was very positive and lovely and someone noted that indeed it should be “Craft and Draught” (beer) but the name stuck, and I just want you to know your comment has indeed haunted me for 6 months.

Favourite introduction to lace patterns?

Hello!

I’ve had a great time happily doing colourwork and stockinette socks in my two years of knitting.

I’m quite slow, and I’m of the “prefer to knit in the round generation” but I am craving learning new skills beyond what I’ve learned so far.

What are your favourite easy to conquer lace patterns? I have a decent stash of sock up to DK weight yarns.

I would prefer shawlette/shawl/garment as I have a fancy of making something for my upcoming summer holidays where I’m staying in a log cabin on a farm.

Thank you!

(Photo attached of today’s finds in wales. But I’m not wedded to using them on this!)
